Unhappy Got some bad news this morning...

Got a call from my GF's sister this morning. She only calls me at work when there's something very important and she can't get ahold of my GF...

Well, last night their uncle got in a fight with his wife. The cops were called, and I guess things were under control. He later left and attempted suicide. He's nows in the hospital, and not expected to live... My GF is on her way there now, and the family that can get here is on the way... I don't know anymore than that right now... Just got a little bit of second hand information, and now I'm feeling really bummed, and don't have anyone to talk to.

I may go over to the hospital later... not sure. I'll just wait, and see what happens, and what she wants me to do...

thats a rough thing, sorry for your ordeal closer. I got a bad call in November a couple months ago and a kid I had known from my area and gone to church with for years had commited suicide. I guess drugs finally got the best of him. I wish I had known how serious it was, I would have helped him....

Good luck with everything

I went through this several years ago with my brother-in-law. The "what-if's" still eat me up sometimes...

Ears are wide open here, hope and pray for you. Sure hope he makes it through this. Sometimes a person needs a second chance to work things out.

Well, I talked to my GF around 1 or so. She said most of the family is there, and they were just waiting on a few others to get there. They were going to wait until all his sibblings were there, so they could get the okay from everyone to pull the life support.

I guess he took all his diabetes medication last night. She said his kidneys failed, was having liver problems, on a venilator, and non-responsive since arriving at the hospital...

about time to head home. Need to call her, and see what's going on again...

Well, I talked to her after work. Everyone showed up, and after talking it over with the doctors the family decided to give him a chance. I think she said they decided on 48 hours to see if he wakes up, but even if he does he will most likely have a lot of problems. They're still running tests on his liver, but he's kidneys are probably not going to be saved...

Makes me think about my brother-in-law... I always hear people talking bad about those who take their own lives, but after what he went through, I couldn't do anything but feel so deeply sorry for him that it still hurts, and I pray to God that he is better off wherever he may be. He however, used a gun while drunk. Quick...

Thanks guys/gals...

Well, her uncle died at 9:05 tonight... His heart gave out, and the family had asked that they not try to revive him in such an event... He had taken 170 of his diabetic pills which he was supposed to take 2 a day.

I never really got a chance to know him... I just saw him over the weekend though. The worst thing in all of this is he had kids. We celebrated his little girl's birthday Saturday...

Im truely sorry for your loss...this is a tough thing to go thru. God Bless him and his family, theyre in my prayers tonight.

We had a girl earlier this year on our floor that swallowed 51 pills of pain killers/anti-depressants trying to kill herself. Good thing the guys down the hall heard her throw and break something in her room right after she did that, they took her to the hospital and she's ok now.......she could have easily been dead...

Every time i hear Blaine Larsen's new song "How do you get that lonely" (new country song) i cant help but think about a couple I know who have killed themselves...
