Star Trek ending?

http://www.cnn.com/2005/SHOWBIZ/TV/0....ap/index.html

Well, everyone was talking about how slow things are around here, so thought I could bring this up...

I'm not really a Trekkie, and I don't dress up or attend rally's, and I clearly understand that this is a fictional story and characters, however I've always liked the show, especially The Next Genereation...

So, just thought I'd bring this to your attention... Hate to see a cool show go... although, the latest incarnation wasn't as cool as it could/should have been...

It was cancelled last week. I was never a trekkie and did like some New Generation, but this series sucked.

If you like sci-fi then watch Battlestar Galactica

I love it, and I'm very critical of sci/fi. Continuing storylines and no wrap up at the top of the hour. This show is very dark and adult oriented. That's why it's on at 10 pm.

I think Enterprise came good in this 4th series.
Yes, the first 3 were a bit sucky but, in my opinion, so were Next Gen and DS9.
I think it could have been extended now that Manny Coto is writing for them.

I heard Coto was doing a great job there, but I never caught one of his eps. There was about 6 eps in the whole Next Gen series I liked, which is a LOW average. I like watching good sci/fi, but hardly any of it is good.

I have a friend that is working on the next Star Wars movie, and from what he tells me I'll love it. I didn't like the last two overall.

Dave02, I also watch the new Battlestar Galactica on the Sci-Fi channel. It is a good show

I have always watched all the Star Trek series and enjoy them. It does seem like the new season was starting to come around.

Yes, BSG on SciFi is good...

Is blondie (Cylon) hot, or what?
Starbuck could get a test drive too..

Yes, it is dark- and moody, and primitive (Compared to the first one). But, the graphics are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than the same scenes cut & pasted in the first episode.

You always new when a Viper or Cylon Raider was about to buy it...

PS: Star Trek: Enterprise, was quite bootlicious... (In a bad way)

I'm a Trekkie to the bone (Minus the uniforms, conventions, Conversational Klingon and all that other crap)- but even I didn't like this one...

If I had to Rank them:

1.) Star Trek: The Next Generation
2.) Star Trek: DS9 (After they got the Defiant until the end- first few years was sorry)
3.) Star Trek
4.) Star Trek: Voyager (JEri Ryan, nuff said)
5.) Star Trek: Enterprise. (Starting off with a smoldering hot Vulcan was a good idea, but the ship was way too primitive and I think that lost fans and viewers. This series will be shorter than the original, which did have 79 episodes over three seasons)

The new Battlestar Galactica is good, but I still think Babylon 5 tops them all.

Ya know Andromeda was pretty good too..

It's crap now, but it used to be good...
By the time I started getting into Earth: Final Conflict, it went off.

Since Voyager got back to Earth, I really don't care about TV too much, but I am getting into CSI & CSI: Maimi. I saw CSI: NY once- I keep missing it...

Law & Order: Criminal Intent, and SVU are good too; along with House as well as Boston Legal (The new Ally McBeal, if you asked me)....

Dude, I just recently started watching Andromeda. When they were showing all the episodes from the beginning, it was a great show. However, when I watch the new ones, Im so lost I can't even begin. It makes no sense.

Anyway, I love Enterprise!

I think there is a reason Andromeda is a little off right now. It would be hard to explain how the shows A.I. (Lexa Doig) got pregnant.
