Thanks and Farewell
I know most of you probably dont know me but this community has been very good to me so I figured I should say thanks to everyone here. I don't post to much because Im not to knowledgable about the technical side of trucks, but you guys have always been able to point me in the right direction for mods.
I bought a 01 ext cab, shortly after I found this site. Then one day I made the mistake of clicking on a forum called "Lightning" I don't remember the exact date but ever since then I wanted one. I finally got one early last year but like so many of my, not only Lightning owner brothers, but my brother at arms, I have to put my life and (more importantly) my truck away for at least a year.
Id rather not go into specifics but I am fortunate enough not to have to be deploying to a combat zone but trust me when I say my mission is so important enough to make the news on a regular basis. My reserve unit sent me to infantry school so I could get deployed on this mission, it was a good school but a little short, definatly shake and bake.
To let you all know I got a FTVB from Tim at Chickenears and a Ground Force Kit from Sal at PSP. Neither have been installed yet, but they will be. I plan on getting a few more things while I am gone. When I get back I have some crazy plans for the inside of my truck, but you'll have to wait untill I get back to hear about those.
So one final thank you for all the help and hopefully I will have limited internet access to check on the progress of my whipple.
