The new Charger...?

Talk about rectal cranial inversion...
This is probably the biggest disappointment I've seen out of detroit... I thought it was bad when they allowed the GTX name to be used on a Dodge truck, but this is their performance offering? Basically a slap in the face to any true Mopar fan of the late sixties...
I know this is a Ford site, and that's why I'm posting this. Just be thankful the boys and girls behind the blue oval did the new Stang justice. I'll always be partial to the Mopar's of the late 60's and early 70's though...
Damn! If they wanted to build this ugly POS so bad couldn't they have at least called it a Coronet, or more approprietly a Fury, Town & Country or anything but a Charger... I'm scared I'm going to see a some new SUV one of these days called the Daimler Belvedere II...

They had one at the Houston car show last week and it looks better in the flesh than in the pics.
Have to agree on the Charger name though. Should have called it something else.
My 2 cents (or Euros or pennies)

I think I'd probably take one over any 4-door that Ford currently makes... Not that it's so great.... But quite honestly, other then a Chrysler 300, I can't think of another ford/chevy/chrysler/dodge that is any better....

They rebuilt a car for this guitar player- Kenny Wayne (Or David Wayne) something or other, from Louisiana.
He always loved the Dukes of Hazzard, and they built a replica of sorts for him, but instead of being the General Lee, it was called; 'Extreme Lee'. That thing (Had a Hemi in it). A 528 Hemi if I remember correctly, with darn near 600 HP.
I think Boyd Coddington built it for him; it wasn't my favorite hot rodder (Chip Foose).
If I ever get some real money; I'm goign to have Chip build two hot rods for me; one of of an old Ford Galaxie 500 and another out of a 2000 Ford Expedition.

I like it. At least it's got some muscle. Plus, with lots of Mercedes-Benz sourced parts (just like the Chrysler 300), it's a bargain Benz... with an American V8.
Much better than the K-Car based "Charger" that Dodge tried to pawn in the 80s...

It looks like the Magnum without the station wagon part...
I think all their cars look the same now ??
I saw that show on TLC abou the Xtreme Lee...that was a nice car, although I dont think Foose built it.

Personally I think this thing will flop! (Well I hope so anyway)
It's butt azz ugly and it definatley does NOT deserve the 'Charger' name.
