Aight...I had my truck repaired from the whole truck-jacking thing, and it turned out really well.

There are just a few minor issues to get a second look/second repair.

ANYWHO...

I am in a 2004 F-150 SuperCrew 4.6 4x2 for a few days. It has about 28,000 miles on it. It has the rear end whine, and it is driving me NUTS! I've only had it for about 60 miles, and I have the radio blasting and all windows rolled down. I feel for those of you that have the whine...I want to be buddies with those of you that have the wine

Anyway...I'll get my buddy back on Thursday and drop it off Friday for the 315/70/17 BFG's and Daystar...Can't wait!

 

I had over $6000 in damage. I'm very picky and know what to look for.

1. There is a decent sized dent in the left bedside (which was replaced)

2. There is a paint run on the passengers side door that is about 8" long

3. There is a mosquito in the paint on the right fender

4. There is clearcoat overspray ALL OVER the windshield

5. The foglights are aimed WAAAAY off

It shouldn't take hardly anytime to fix. I could have lived with it all...but didn't want to.

 

Maybe I'm not up to speed on my body shop talk. But you did say a "mesquito in the paint" right? The bug, not some fancy shop talk for a paint defect?

Were these body shop guys setting around playing the banjo and fiddle, spittin in a copper pot when you looked at your truck? LOL

 

Post some pictures after you get everything re-repaired and installed!

At the rate TUFF is working the boards...we prolly wont see him for about a week or two.

Long story short...

I was giving a guy that I didn't know a ride home...back in November...he pulled a gun on me and tried to take the truck. I told him no, he grabbed the wheel, we fought, the truck went of the road, in a huge ditch, up an embankment, left side first through a chain link fence, then right side first through a barbed wire fence. The guy jumped out and ran...I chased him in the truck, he ran through a creek that was chest deep and I couldn't cross.

Fun stuff, huh?

 

now I remember..guess since it was a few months ago it slipped my mind. Well hope you get it all fixed up and get the bugs out of the paint.

So hows the job...did you see my thread in General about changing careers...ive been waiting for your advice...
