Nissan Titan or Dodge Hemi???
If you want something that can tow and is still fast get f350 psd not a stupid titan or hemi. In a comparison i saw in a mag the psd beat the dodge cumins and duramax down 1/4 pulling a 5000lbs mobile home. But the whole point is that its a truck what is the point of going fast while towing something.
P.S. If its so important to you to have speed to pull something then get a lightning if its something under 5000lbs.

I've already said my peace on this issue in my earlier posts, but let me add one more thing. The Titan may have the edge over Ford in acceleration, but I doubt they will hold up as well as our trucks over time.
I've been in a Titan when I was shopping for a truck (Ford was always my choice, I was just educating myself on everything available), I found the Titan to be VERY cheap on the interior. I couldn't see myself spending alot of time in there.
Dodge interiors I find to be uninviting, they just don't make you want to jump in and drive. Both makes are counting on their performance to get you in the truck.
I can get into my F150 and just sit there, in my garage, with the stereo on. I don't even have to start it. That's what I want in a truck. We might not be the fastest off the line, but we will still be in the race long after all the other guys are on the scrapheap!

Sorry, long post, I feel better!

Cannondale is a cool company for bicycles, I own two myself. He was talking about their "quads". These and their dirt bikes went under. They could have been great but they wouldnt listen to the people riding them, so people quit buying them. They had some good ideas for their motor driven vehicles and its sad they didnt get to continue. The fact is they just barely were able to salvage the bicycle company (thank goodness for that). ATK bought out everything else started building them under their own name and fixed all the problems that Cannondale wasnt able to. Now all thats left are a lot of Cannondale quad and motorcycle owners with no warranty.
Unbiased answer.
Get the Titan Quad cab.
It's solid, and the only truck that even comes close to Ford; and in some ways besats it.
Note: The Titan was faster 0-60 with a 1,200 in the bed than the F-150 was with just a driver (empty).

well, if someone stuck a gun to my head and said pick between dodge and nissan...
I would buy the dodge and load a tune on it, CAI, and performance exhaust.
Ford makes a vehicle for every possible scenario, and people want to buy one and expect it to do everything and anything better than the other guys.
If you wanna tow, get a superduty
If you wanna race your truck with 1200lbs in the bed, get a lightning.
If you wanna race quater miles, go getcha a GT40
If you wanna a gorgeous, long lasting, built TOUGH, all purpose truck, get F150.
If you wanna beat up on some rice burners, get a SHO or Focus.
You wanna catch all the tale you can find, get a Mustang GT. wooo hooo
you get the point.
You can't have everything you want in one vehicle. So what if the F150's get beat on 0-60's, who freakin cares? These new trucks are built right, so they weigh a little bit more than what we are all use to. There is more to what makes a quality truck than 0-60 times.
There's my opinion, since you asked...and I don't really care if it is objective or not.

I'm just a couple hours north of you! If your "El" is both NA and no NOS then I think I might have to call you on this! But the "El'ca~junk~o's" around here even in prestine condition, (and that's if they haven't been "raced around") go for about $4K at best...The reason I know this is because I am helping a friend look for one right now...So that would be a cheap easy way to get him one...How ever...I just paid 14K and some change for my truck so you would have to boot atleast an extra 10K cash to make it a fair race. So that if I won I would get the same value winnings as you would if you won. Before I could take you as serious or even consider going my title for your title + $10K!BUT I probabley wouldn't do it then either because mine is my dailey driver. I cant afford to replace it if it did lose and anyone with brains knows that anything can happen on the track! I never bet anything I'm not willing to lose!...BUT... if you want to go for what ever cash we both can can afford to lose I will match you! Or we can just do it for fun! My truck is bone stock no upgrades and factory curb weight.
There is a drag strip that allows street class races on Saturday nights in Rogersville, Mo. (20 Mins South of Springfield, Mo. on I-360) Only requirement is driver must wear a helmet. The track won't open again til spring... So that will give you some time to get tuned up! Or if you have another track that you prefer I can probably meet you there too!
Please respond this should be FUN!
P.S. It will be video taped by my film crew and if I win it would be Posted on my site and everyone here will get to see it!
Post a reply or E-mail me either way!
P.S.S. Then after we race we can go cut a load of wood and see who hauls more and who hauls it better...heck we might even race with a load of wood on too. Though that wouldn't really be a fair race because you only bought a quarter of a truck... so you will only have 1/4 of the weight that I will!
Who did you say should have bought a real truck or the right truck or something like that???

Towing a 25' toy hauler w/ at least 10k GVWR = 3/4 ton. If you go for a gas engine, get the shorter gear, like 4.10 for the Ram.
Check out RV.net forums for experiences w/ towing 8000 pounds. You don't want a light duty truck to do that.

I'm towing a Dutchmen light that's 5600# dry with a 7700gvwr and it's pushing it with a half ton. All the toy haulers have a GVWR of MUCH more than that. We're planning on upgrading to a 3/4 - 1ton in the future when it's time. If you're gonna buy a new truck to tow with, forget the titan and go with the Big 3 heavy duty rigs as your choices.
Edit: oh, and deisel is your friend.

PS - until I get the tranny fixed it's not going to do anything but **** my neighbor off by sitting next to my house...
whats with you people talking 1/4 mile tiles with a trailer?
If that isn't the dumbest, most dangerous thing to do in a truck!
If you have 8000 lbs on your back end, you should be more concerned about braking than acceleration.
Christ, why not just go out and start shooting people randomly, or slug back a 26oz of Mr Daniels finest before you hit the road.
Friggin' irresponsible.
