Bonsai Kittens
Bonsai Kittens
This is so terrible. A site that we were able to shut last year has returned. We have to try to shut it down again! (www.bonsaikitten.com) A Japanese man in New York breeds and sells kittens that are called BONSAI CATS. That would sound cute, if it weren't kittens that were put in to little bottles after being given a muscle relaxant and then locked up for The rest of their lives! The cats are fed through a straw and have a small tube for their Faces. The skeleton of the cat will take on the form of the bottle as the kitten grows. The cats never get the opportunity to move. They are used as original and exclusive souvenirs. These are the latest trends in New York, China, Indonesia and New Zealand. If you think you can handle it, view www.bonsaikitten.com and have a look at the methods being used to put these little kittens into bottles. Please send this to your friends and back to andrewthemodel@hotmail.com as well. Thank you.
I got this email. Sick. I know some here aren't too kind to cats, and crack jokes about running them over. Thats great because they die quickly. This is just sick. Confining a cat to a glass tube for the rest of its life. Please either email andrewthemodel@hotmail.com so he can add your name to the list or simple post here your disgust and I'll forward him this website. Thanks.

It's not just cats it happened to my cousin, Jughead.
We're still trying to figure out how to get it off.
He don't say much about it.
(at least we don't hear him sayin' much about, I do believe his lips are movin')

Bonsai Kittens !!!!!!
Yea!
These things are great! I have 6 of them (they make great collector items, and they make great gifts!) (I sent one to Burt for Christmas. Did it arrive Burt?)
The kids love them, they are perfect for them to take to school for show-n-tell.
I display them in the den when the wife and I are entertaining guests at home and they are quite the conversation piece.
Well worth the money, and I see from the site that the inventor has found a use for the old MacCube container. Bravo!
ETA: Hey Raoul, sorry about your cousin Jughead. Have you tried a hammer? Just make sure the impact is from behind and not the front. Those tiny glass pieces tend to get in the eyes.

kobiashi, if it's not too rude to ask, how much does one run?
The site doesn't list prices.
Is there a discount for purchasing more than one?
Do you know of any franchise information?
I see this as a real moneymaker.
I could quit my day job and raise kittens.

Raoul, you are sitting on a gold mine right now!
Bonsai Goats!!!
I'm surprised you didn't think of it!
I can't be sellin' a product that I can't garuantee.
What kind of container could I possibly use that would hold a goat? Have you ever seen a goat? They are bigger than you think.
Get real man! Kittens = $, Goats = Bankruptcy court.
(I'll ask Jughead, maybe he would know)

Not rude at all.
Everything is negotiable, so I'm sure you could work out a great deal since you would be buying in bulk and doing it at the wholesale level.
I do think you are onto something here.
In fact, you don't even need to deal with the BK guy. With your animal husbandry skills, and my marketing and media connections, I think we could form a partnership here.
I could get in touch with the people at the Ball Jar Company and have them do up some prototype kitten jars and get to work with the folks over at TBWA\Chiat\Day to work up a marketing/advertising strategy.
What do ya say?
By the way, don't discount that goat-in-jar thing. As a mass marketed thing I agree, it's a flop, but since we would have considerable pull with Bell after the enormous success of the kitten-n-a-jar thing, we could have them do a specialized container for goats . . . it would be a special event product, in limited quantities. You could actually promote the whole unpredictable aspect as a desirable part of its "limitedness" and charge up the wazoo for the privilege.
"Sure their troublesome, but imagine owning one of 150 limited edition goat-in-a-big-jar . . . . signed and numbered with a certificate of authenticity!"
People love that crap.
Have your people call my people.
