I was a drummer in high school, but more along the lines of the movie "Drumline" than any group drummer.

I played the following field drums:

Snare
Tenor
Tenor Bass
Bass

Concert:
Timpani
Bass
Snare

I played 'Wipe Out' pretty good on the desktop with two fingers in seventh grade...

...until the teacher whacked me but good with a ruler.

Now, when I even see a drum I put my hands in my pockets.
(i wimper too but, it is pretty much inaudible)
(and I stopped wetting the floor about five years ago)

Other than that, I like drums.

Well I posted in my music thread about this, but I'll post hear too. Influences are Neil Peart, Mike Portnoy, and Dennis Chambers. I play a Pearl Sessions with a 22" kick w/ Tama Iron Cobra Powerglide double pedal, 3 racks (8, 10, 12) and a 16" floor tom. Plenty of cymbals, all of which are Zildjian. I want some Sabians though. Been playing for over 5 years and am self taught. Not to brag, but I'm pretty amazing for a self taught drummer. I don't need lessons. I just need my Portnoy vids.

WELL SINCE YOU ASKED .......

I am a drummer ( 32 yrs now ) with way too long a resume to post here, but i'm still going strong with my own production co.
and a couple of projects that come out of it, as well as being a hired gun for a lot of guitarists in the area who use me for recording their initial ideas too tape... you can hear my work on
many sites on the world wide web if you want. ( here's one )
www.mp3.com.au/justinseine schroll down and follow the other
links ( they are all my projects )
My main influences were and still are John Bonham and Buddy Rich. My favorite drummers ( partial list )
Mitch Mitchell - Tommy Aldridge - Simon Phillips - Neil Peart - Mike Portnoy - C. Appice and way too many others to get into here.

I'm currently playing a 1981 Ludwig power tom kit black / maple
24" bass - 8" 10" 14" and 15" mounted 16" flr - north rack
6 Zildian cymbals ( various ) and Zildian Amir 14" hi-hat
(can be seen at www.iuma.com - search cuzrok) It is an unbelieveable LIVE kit BUT I am now downsizing to a more studio
friendly kit so this one is up for sale, if you know anyone looking to buy they can e:mail me and i'll give more details and pricing
though it won't come cheap ... WELL ... YOU ASKED ...

I'm glad someone remembered Carmine Appice.

For all you guys big on Portnoy, you are completely missing his inspiration (he has stated this in interviews)

Terry Bozzio... the innovator.

blkltng02, I love it! It is the best pedal I've ever played. It's really really smooth and it has tons of adjustments. Most people think "man I can never play fast double bass" but all you have to do is move the beater angle foward and tighten the springs all the way and you're blazing. Hope you enjoy it, you made a great decision...
