Got myself a Bronco for a buck!

On the last week of December while I was in Vegas, my dad rolled his 1994 Bronco:

They towed it to a local dealership, and parked it for a while:

I had the dealership look over it and see if it still ran, and sure enough, she fired right up. They replaced all of the fluids and drove it around the parking lot, they said it was good to go. I'll drive it to my house tomorrow, my wife is actually looking forward to it (gotta love her for that!) My dad is going to give it to me for a buck (legal transaction, yadda, yadda), but I'll have to fix it up (new fenders, grill, lights, taillights, driver's door hinges, etc...) and then I'm throwing a snow plow on it. No more shoveling the %!#*! snow!!! Luckily, the rear fenders and tailgate work great, even the running boards made it without a scratch. Good thing it landed in a four to five foot snow bank.

Yeah, he was fine, tweaked his back a bit, but a few trips to the chiropractor set him straight, also bruised his ego. He bought the Bronco brand new back in '94, so he was bummin' pretty hard, however, he's driving a tan 2004 Lariat Screw, so know he's grinnin'. He's also glad it's staying in the family.

Didn't you try to haggle with him on the price?

Well, finally got the Bronco to my house, actually drove it from the dealership. Had a few problems with the battery, but they got it recharged and I had a buddy of mine follow me home. It didn't pull to the left or the right, started up real nice (once charged), brakes feel good, no vibrations in the drivetrain, and no frame damage either. Does anyone have a good place to buy body panels and some other parts? Thanks.

Start checking out your local junkyards. Some of the bigger ones will be able to put your request on the wire and link with a web of junkyards all over the country. Used auto parts is a big business.

I've heard alot of good things about Jeff's Bronco Graveyard on some of the gearhead television shows.
