They're definately winning in the polls there... by a landslide actually.

I think the Pats will actually have a better chance if T. Owens comes back.

I look at it this way; the Eagles have been playing pretty decent ball since TO left. Bringing him back into the picture will disrupt the team's chemistry. Further, I'm afraid that TO will try to be a 'individual' rather than a 'team' player.

While I do agree with you to a point, football is still a team sport. Unfortunately, there are several who believe that, while the word 'team' doesn't have an 'I' in it, it definitely has a 'me' in it.

There are those types of players in every realm of every sport on every level. You see it in college sports, high school sports and, obviously, in the pros. It's not limited to one sport in the least.

Be reminded, there are some AWESOME tier one players in the NFL who play as a team player: Peyton Manning, Jason Taylor, Ed Reed, Terrell Suggs, Tiki Barber, and Jim Wilks just to name a few...

Again, don't get me wrong, there are some pre-madonnas but, don't let it spoil the fun for any sport. That's my stance at least...

Of course....I understand that. But ever since Ronnie Lott left San Francisco, football for me hasn't been the same. I tried to watch it this year, but seemed like the excitement was gone. I have focused my attention to The Ultimate fighting Championship (UFC).
I see a lot of heart in those athletes. I dont see it on the field anymore. Dont get me wrong......I love to play football, just not the same to watch anymore.

<BTW> I'm not trying to hi-jack your thread RP. Thats something DZervIt would do.

I would rather watch high school or college. But I'm a fan of all sports. Can't seem to get into soccer though.
GO UK!
When was the last time you saw real emotion on the field in a pro game.

A long time ago I watched Tony Dorsett pick up a fumble near the end zone, and run it 99 yards for a TD. I cant remember who they were playing, but it was wonderful.

Maybe I'm just getting old

It is many years in the future now. Peyton Manning, after living a full
life, has died. When he gets to heaven, God is showing him around. They come
to a modest little house with a faded Indianapolis Colts flag in the window.
"This house is yours for eternity, Peyton," God says. "This is very special;
not everyone gets a house up in this section. I am sure you'll be
comfortable here" Peyton felt special, indeed. He said "Thank you" to God
and walked up to his house. On his way up onto his porch, he noticed another
house just around the corner. It was a 3-story mansion with a red white and
blue sidewalk, small silver goalposts adorning front entranceway, a 50 foot
tall flagpole with an enormous Patriots logo flag, and in every window there
was a Pat Patriot towel. On the lawn, there was a small replica of the
Lombardi trophy, tastefully done in pewter - and another small statue of Tom
Brady, a smile on his boyish face and his arm raised as if to pass the
football. Peyton looked at God and said "God, I really do appreciate my
house, and I'm not trying to be ungrateful, but I have a question. I was an
all-pro QB; I broke Dan Marino's all-time season touchdown record and I
still hold many NFL records ... heck, I even went to the Hall of Fame." God
said "Yes, I know. So what's your question Peyton?" "Well, God, why does Tom
Brady get a better house than me?" God chuckled, and said "Oh, Peyton,
that's not Tom's house ...... it's mine."
"And now you know the rest of the story"

The Chicago Cubs of the NFL.........

As we say down here in New Orleans; there's always next year. Sooner or later, the Saints will be in that number. I just hope it happens before I die.

Go Patriots.
