Government investigating Ford trucks - Fires?

Anybody know any more about this or had a problem with cruise control deactivation switches melting or burning up and, in some cases, causing fires?

Yup. This is for some of the late model trucks... not 2004/05.

Off to General...

Sorry but I don't understand the reasoning behind moving this thread to the same forum that has super bowl polls and all sorts of off-topic type threads. You might as well delete it, since no one discusses truck issues in the so-called 'general' forum.

I'm assuredly going to be chastised for posting this, and I mean no disrespect. I simply see it as a blatent discrepancy with no logical reasoning. I've seen more than one topical thread moved to the General forum instead of the applicable forum. We have about 60 forums here so it certainly would fit in somewhere other than the joke and football forum.

It is old news and if a search was done then it would not of even needed to be posted.
