2006 Harley Davidson F-150

Does this mean there'll be no 2006 Harley Davidson F-250?

The New Harley Davidson F-150-

Regarding the new F-150:
Do you like it? Or, will you wait for the "SuperCrew" version of it- with hopefully, at least as much HP as the old one (340).

I for one hope it will be a naturally aspirated 340 rather than a supercharged (whiney) 340.

What do you think?

I think I'll wait.

I don't understand the Ford and HD connection, why would Ford badge a truck with HD?

Do they leak oil more or something?

They joined together because they were turning 100 years old at the same time. So they produced some trucks to mark the event. (actually several years before & after the anniversary too)

I believe the marriage was conceived during the heyday of "One-to-One" marketing, much like the King Ranch edition.

Ford's research indicated that many truck owners also own HD's or work on farms and ranches, so they came up with "branded" models that would touch a more "personal" nerve to buyers.

Yep, I spoke with Mike Smith with Ford in 2000 after the first edition was released. Told him they needed the lightning motor and a 4x4 model. Both have been done. He also said it was going to only be a five year run....
guess they are selling enough to warrant a 6th year.

I have to say, it is an improvement over the last couple of years. A Mustang was supposed to be the final, i.e. the 2005. I guess they changed their minds on that one also!

If you ever get a chance to speak with Mike, and I assume he is still with Ford, he is a very nice person and has lots of behind the scenes info. He toured with the new HD trucks to all the major bike ralliies.

truck looks good but i dont understand ford sometime.... WHY would they make it a Supercab... give me a break!! I love the idea of AWD... something that SHOULD have been an option on the Lightning!

I love the tinted headlights though... im sure they will find their way onto my truck!!!
