Dash Clocks

I did a search to which nothing was found. Not even sure where to post this question.
With the removal of the stock HU a couple years ago, so went any type of clock in a 2000. My replacement Kenwood HU has a clock feature, but you cannot view station or freqeuncy with the clock turned on. Not a big problem since there are only 2 FM stations worth a crap here.
I added Sirius yesterday and since they have 184 channels, I programmed the HU to display the channel I was on. Now I have no clock.
I do not wear a watch and the time on my cell phone is so small it doesn't help. I really am not a 'time' person, but for some reason, I go nuts without a dash clock.
Has anyone found a decent looking after market dash clock that can be wired to the dimmer switch and take up very little space?

TIA

Might want to look into a toyota dash clock. It'd involve some cutting/wiring, but they're simplistic and easy-to-read.

Let us know how it goes

Thought about an over head console with a clock? My OH has a temp/compass...I use that darn thing everyday. I am glad I got it.

<EDIT>

I have a picture in my gallery of the compass/temp, but it's fuzzy

Here ya go

Find the dash piece from a Lincoln Navigator. I was looking for one for almost a year though... Everytime I found one I got a price, and then never heard anything more from them... I too was sick of no clock in the truck...

But anyway, the Navigator has one, and it's all factory and looks very good. If you find the dash piece, but need the clock let me know. I have just the Nav. clock in the dark charcoal...

jamz, I have the Lariat Edition and already have the console with temp and compass. Just no clock....

closer, I found some online photo's of 2000 Navigator and the clock is in a location that would require replacing a large portion of the dash. Not sure how accessible the bolts are for that precedure!

If I understand you correctly, you have just the LED clock portion? Got any picture's to show size and shape of it? I would rather make something and place in existing dash if it is small enough.

I need to take the one out of my CV patrol car and look at it's size. Might can make it work. No one would ever miss it but me...

Now that I think about it, any old Ford LED clock from any model will probably work, just have to adapt it to my dash....

Anybody got one laying around or maybe I need to hit a junk yard.

Well, not only do I have the Nav. dash clock, but I also have one from a mid 80's F150. I was thinking about mounting it in place of the cubby hole in the aftermarket stereo trim adapter...

I've been wanting do to this mod myself for a while...

I'm thinking the clock out of a '94-97 mustang might work. All it was, was a small self contained pod that sat on the center dash, right above the AC vents and radio.

If I had to have a clock I would consider this:

http://egauges.com/vdo_acce.asp?Subg...97-2003&Cart=1

and this:

http://www.egauges.com/eg_typeI.asp?Type=Clock&Cart=

they have single, double and triple.
Maybe a tranny cooler gauage or a 'real' temperature gauge or both.

See, I have tinted windows, so the time dial is liable to be off depending on how the window tint defracts the suns rays, and also I would only be able to get the time at night during the full moon and with the windows down...
I really appreciate your input though.

Raoul, a single pod would be fine except all those clocks are mechanical (which means my pre-teen kids won't be able to tell the time) . See if you can find an LED in green and can be adjusted with the interior dimmer. I sneak around in the dark doing surviellance some times and need to be able to black out all interior lighting.

If the goats begin to miss you, just let me know, I have some extra flex cuffs laying around!

I saw in Goat Herders National where you guys sometimes have to restrain them for certain procedures....therefore you are probably aware of how to use the cuffs!

You still interested in a clock? I found both the Nav. clock, and the older F150 clock in the garage today. I can post pix if you need. Otherwise I'll just throw 'em on ebay...
