Help buying an F150

I am currently in the market for a 2000 F150 XLT. The one I am looking at is a regular cab, short bed, 2wd with a 4.6 and an automatic. It has only 20,000 miles on it. I am wondering if there is anything in particular I should look for when I meet the guy and look at the truck? Will the truck last me, if I take good care of it? I have looked on a few different auto review sites and there are different specs listed for the 4.6 as far as horsepower and torque. Does anyone know the correct ratings for it? I think it has 220 hp and 290 torque. Also, if I do buy it, what should I do for the 1st mod to give it some grunt? Thanks a lot guys. I'd appreciate your help.

From: somewhere east of west.
is it stock ? if so you can quickly hit it with a tuner, air intake, and
exhaust swap.. BUT it might have some things on it already as it's
a 2000...... let us know what you do...

It is completely stock with only 20,000 miles. I have seen pictures and the thing is perfect, looks like it just came off the line. Is there anything though in particular that I should ask/ do? Look for anything?
