This guy has dedicated his website to fighting back Email scammers.

Picture this. I"m sitting in the school library, CRYING because I'm laughing so hard at the E-mails this guy exchanges with the scammers. Those guys keep e-mailing him back over and over for months asking for money.

Aww man, you have to go read some of those conversations.

basically what he does it talk and talk to them and tells him that he doens't htink they are real. He insists that they take a picture of themselves holding a sign with his name on it and send it to him.

Funny thing is I have contacts in Liberia.
They just had a coup last year that tried to overthrow the gov't, I wasn't sure if my friends were still alive after that or not. but they got evacuated by helicopter from the embassey.

 

I just don't get how many people (idiots) there are out there that actually think they are going to get something (like large sums of money?) for nothing.

It's like "oh yeah, some mega rich (whatever) needs you, little Billy Joe-Bob in Pahokee (wherever) to execute a mega million dollar money transfer, and they're going to cut you in for a percentage, just for being you.

If these scams never worked, we wouldn't see so many of them.

I've gotten about a half dozen of these in the past few years - all basically the same. I just hope nobody believes this stuff.

They're commonly called 419 Scams and you can find hundreds of websites addressing the problem.

 

I am a Corporate Credit Manager for an international manufacturer. My E-Mail is provided to thousands of our international customers and reps. This makes me a very popular "target".
This scam started many years ago (10 to 20, nobody knows) with hand-written notes offering to share several million dollars.
I have been contacted hundreds of times. I am always told that some diplomat with my last name was killed in an accident. Now they need to export some ill-gotten monies.
I have forwarded most of these proposals to my local FBI office. The FBI is actively pursuing these scammers. Sadly, they have taken hundreds of millions of dollars from U.S. victims. "60 Minutes" actually aired this story several years ago.
Nigeria is the source because it is very difficult to locate and prosecute in this country.
Do not share your bank info with anyone!

That ebola monkey site is some funny chit! I only read one of them and some of his hate mail and it's funny stuff.

 

I heard about htat scam forever and could never understand why people would fall for it. I finally got my first email at my ***/.net address last year. I opened a Yahoo account also, seems like I get at least a dozen a week in that one...

 

If you pretty much try to sell anything online, you're bound to get one of those emails. Everytime I sell something, I get stuff like that for the next 3 weeks until I finally tell them to shut up. It's amazing how stupid people can be...
