New Tractor?

Oh man...I think we're about to get a new John Deere 4120 with a loader! This thing is so sweet. Check 'er out. Hope to have it by end of month. If not this one, a New Holland TC40DA. But I think we're going to be able to pull off the JD purchase. I can't wait!

Here's some pictures...

Basically maintaining about 18 acres - mowing, 'bush hogging', landscaping, snow removal, dragging off dead trees/cut down trees to be cut up, etc. Private residence usage. It should be killer! She's got 4 wheel drive, hydrostatic tranny, 43HP turbo diesel and more goodies.

Are you getting the loaded one or the base? Thats a lot of $$$ for a piece of machinery. Paying several thousand for the JD name. Still, you will probably be paying damn near $30,000 for a tractor. Still though, nothing runs like a Deere.

Ask Mike if he can do a tune for you...

I'm a little partial to New Holland myself...

We stepped down to the 12x12 tranny (no eHydro) and are getting a front end loader (John Deere 400X loader), a 55" rear mount tiller (John Deere brand), wheel weights and R4 industrial tires. 4x4 is standard. Total with tax (minus the tiller) is $25,000.

It's a sweet tractor. Checked it out the other day. Will be delivered to the house on Saturday!

Maybe I'll get a Banks diesel kit for it to boost that turbo!...LOL I wonder if they make such add-ons for tractors like they do diesel F250s and so on? Not that I'd do it anyway.

And I don't think an 8850 will fit in the garage

Well you've got a little size advantage.

I love this machine. It's easy to operate and has plenty of power. Can't wait until spring and summer when I'll be in the field digging up rocks, stumps, tilling the garden, etc, etc. Gonna be fun

I know what its like to get a new toy like that. My father and I recently bought a new 34HP Kubota, GST transmission, 4wd, R4 tires, front end loader, and diamondplate top. We have put about 8 hours on it and its great. We have another tractor (48HP New Holland, 2wd) but I find myself looking for an excuse to use the loader. You will love the new toy!

I found a pic of the day we got it home:
