Question Insurance Going up?

Any insurance salesmen in here? My girlfriend totalled my last truck, did not get a ticket but was found at fault. Does anyone know if my insurance will go up....I'm guessing it will, but will it be a huge increase? Thanks.

I'm no insurance agent but you're screwed.

I'd say it depends on a number of issues--Your individual policy, your history, record, etc.

Because my driving record has been absolutely positively perfect the last 10 years, My next 'at fault' accident is totally free and will cost me nothing.

But, now that I said my record is perfect, I'll total my truck tomorrow and be cited for numerous related offenses...

A few years ago I got one of those free passes of sorts from State Farm. Something to do with guaranteed renewal for life due to my driving record and them making a ton of cash off me the past 15 years (well they never mentioned anything about making a ton of cash off me)

Bet they are pissed now knowing I own a Lightning…

You may lose an accident free discount, or atleast have it lowered depending on what your discount is. The discounts are usually 10% or 20% depending on how long you have been 'accident free'. I doubt they'll cancel you for one chargeable accident, but again, that depends on the company.

The guaranteed renewal thing is good to have...I have it. I was born in '77 and I have an inception date of '83 on my policies. Fun stuff, huh? Anyway, they won't cancel you, but if you have claim after claim after claim, they'll raise your rates through the roof to the point where you'd be dumb to stay with them.
