Pressure Washer

Hey guys and gals,

I'm looking at buying a pressure washer for doing odd and end stuff.. Such as cleaning the siding on the house, blast the garage floor etc.. etc... I was just wondering what PSI to buy.. I don't want to spend a fortune but, want something that won't fall apart either. Any suggestions would be great.....

Let's say somewhere between $200 and $300 hundred bucks.

Thanks in advance.....

For that kind of money, you should have many options. I wanted to spend less then $100 on mine and it does fine. Mine is only rated for 1700 psi, and has done many jobs. Wash the truck, took paint off the house before painting it. I think the one I've got is a Black Cat, not sure of the name though. This unit is electric, not sure if your looking for gas. One word about the electric unit, there end up being more cords then I would really care for, but didn't want to spend the money on a gas pressure washer.

If it's a Black Cat model TW1800 or BC2200 then there has just been a recall released for them because of overheating motors. There also was a recall for models BC2000 and TW1750 in '02 because of counterfeit GFCI plugs.

We bought a Karcher 1500 psi from Costco for $150. It's electric also but works great.
