What was the worst present you ever gave?

I once gave a girl one of those foot massage things. She had wanted a ring. I didn't know. She wasn't impressed. We didn't have a future after that. I think her family still laugh about that one. One of my practical guy gifts. Dumb dumb dumb.:santa:

This one very annoying and 'crazy' girl I used to date (forum rules prevent me from elaborating on the 'crazy' part) was nagging me for hints regarding her xmas present. I was in college at the time; I told her I bought it at a store downtown, it was small, made of metal, and was something I knew she wanted (she had asked for it previously). The ring she convinced herself she was getting was actually a pair of handcuffs ( for the 'crazy' part if you understand...). Needless to say, I never got to use them with her...

To many women so little time.. She should have realized that the foot massager would have relaxed her and made her BODY feel good BUT she obviously needed a VANITY fix instead. tsk tsk
Vain women are such a waste of time ...

8 or 9 years ago, I bought my wife a..... humidifier for Christmas!
Justification: We were recenltey married less than 3 years and our oldest daughter was born 9 months 2 weeks after marriage, and she cost a LOT to have born. "major complications" Anyway we were flat broke and what little we did have was spent on my daughters christmas. My wife bless her heart was not giving any clues to what she wanted because we just did not have any money that year! BUT.....she had complained about the fireplace "our main source for heat" drying out her skin and hair! Whola I have a solution that will make her happy!!! I thought to myself!
MMMM.. YEA... Now I get to hear about how good of an idea that was not! Every Christmas.

I gave my girlfriend (of 7 months) a soft sided trunk organizer. I thought it was a useful gift. (We never made it to month 8.)

I guess I gotta love my girl. She understands and prefers practical gifts compared to 'girl' stuff. If I'm stupid enough to come home with jewelry or flowers, she'll kick my a$$.

Here's a some of the last few gifts I got her for various reasons:

water softener
Carpet Shampooer
27" TV
Coffee Maker
Bathroom Sink/vanity
New pots/pans

you get the idea. All her friends tell her they'd have punched me in the face, right before she tells them "I love it, best present I ever got"

This year she got me truck stuff and hunting/fishing mag subscriptions.

No, you guys can't have her, she's all mine...
