Talking Walnuts

Saw they are offering walnuts from the USA in the supermarket here.
Where in the USA do they grow these things.
Any growers of walnuts here?

Price was $.52 per 100 gram.

Sorry, didn't buy them.

California grows walnuts and just about everything else. Not sure about volume and how it relates to other areas of our country.

Lots of fruits, too.

Around my area (southern San Joaquin Valley), I think the top crops are cotton, carrots, grapes, citrus and almonds.

Carrots!

Carrots are good for the eyesight.
Don't tell me you didn't know that!

Ever seen a rabbit with glasses on.

And once you remove the nuts and fruits all you have left are the flakes. That's why they call California the cereal bowl state.

Thumbs up

Walnuts are ok.

Don't make the mistake I did and buy Georgia Pecans on ebay.

They only sent me three, they didn't wash them out and there wasn't any lids.

I may have got burned on those Georgia Pecans but, I'm keeping them with the satisfaction of knowing that there is three families in Georgia with no where to go tonight.

Was that still in the shells (whole nuts) or already shelled? If already taken out of the shells, that seems like a cheap price!
