Complaint!!!!

I can't believe it, it doesnt matter how hard i look, you just can't find any manual vehicles anymore. The new f150 for instance, you cant get that manual unless you get the base model. Whats bothering me the most right now, is i am looking into a new vehicle this summer or lattest next, and you cannot find any good manual vehicles out there.

Now i know you can get a decent amount of cars manual, but i dont want a car, i want somethin around the size of my f150 except more luxurious and a little more comfortable for 5 people.

My hopes are that the navigator, aviator, or marklt will sport a 5-speed but that is highly suspect.

Does anyone know of any manual, we'll say, mid to full size SUV's or full size pickups with a decent amount of luxury and a manual shifter?

Even when you look at the competition, say Porche Cayenne, they only offer a 5-speed in their base model. You want any kinda engine that performs, you are stuck with an auto, or at best "tip-tronic" of sorts.

This is very frustrating.

No offense to anyone out there, but i hate automatics. I dont like driving them at all.

I have no idea what kind of vehicle to get next if these automakers keep this stuff up.

**felt good to get that off my chest, no offense inteded to anyone**

unfortunately most people dont share your opinion. Especially not in an SUV/truck situation. You must not have looked too hard cuz the superduty has a manual option. Id bet sooner or later the manual will go the way of the dino. Auto is just better, period. There are some guys that like to shift and thats cool. Understand tho that you guys are a small percentage of the truck buying market.

I hope they dont ("go the way of the dino")

And i have looked, i know superduty's are available, but like i said i want a little luxury and comfortable seating for 5. Superduty is way to much truck for a little luxury.

Also, the sport-trac has a manual option, but like the porche, its only on the base model. The 2005 f150 also has a manual option, but again, only on the base model.

There are a few out there, but none that have any luxury and performance. I am a business man so i am lookin for somethin that can take a little weight, be good in any condition, perform well, and still be suitable for business gatherings.

i dunno what superduties u have looked at but they are luxurious as hell inside and can comfortably seat 5. Both the 6.0 and 6.8 offer plenty of power and a 4.3 or 4.10 is offered as a gear. Lots of performance and luxury. SD really isnt all that much more cash than a new lariat or king ranch either. Buddy of mine just paid 47 for his 350 dually king ranch fully loaded with the diesel option. A 250 gas can be had for around 35, no diff than a 150. Dunno what all the complaining is about.

While they are nice trucks to work in, I never really considered an F-250 to be that terribly luxurious, unless your version of luxury pretty much consists of nothing more then an artificial wood interior and some nice-sized cup holders. Many probably would not find the ride a SD offers along with the noise from a PowerStroke diesel to be exactly their version of 'luxury.' With that said, most would not consider a manual transmission that terribly luxurious either. For 35 to 45k as mentioned above, I'd say you could get a 'little' more luxury for your money, although you may not be able to tow a house behind you in the process. Perhaps a MB G-Wagon would do the trick for you? :santa:

have you seen the new 05 or are u just going by what u see govt agencies driving or at a construction site. Check out the pics on the ford site, looks pretty damn cozy inside to me.....no diff than the 150 versions. Main difference being column shifter vs floor shifter. 05 Super Duty check out the pics of the interior. Doesnt look like a work truck inside to me, at least i wouldnt sit my greasy but on castano brown leather. 6.8 is an option if you dont like diesel. Ride quality might be a bit stiffer but not too much. Just something to consider in an already limited field of manual shift vehicles.

You could always buy whatever ride you want and convert it over if it bothers u that much. Had a guy that converted his van to stick cuz he had to have it. Cost a decent amount of cash but he was happy in the end and thats what its all about.

Agreed.... They are damn nice trucks.... Still would not be my version of luxury though. If Lincoln is 'American Luxury' and F-250 would be 'Redneck Luxury"
