Hello... I'm NEW here...
Hello... I'm NEW here...
Was just forwarded the link to this site. Been on FTE for a while but, find that site pretty much useless. Hope to have better success here.
I'm new to this site but, not the internet or to Ford trucks. In my short 32 years of life... I have been the proud owner of the following fine Ford products:
1978 Ford F150 regular cab 2WD - Originally had a 351M/C6 combo. Replaced the 351M with a 460 Holley 4 Barrel, Headman Headders and dual pipes out the back. This is my first vehicle I have ever owned and I'm actively looking for it now.
1992 Ford Mustang LX, 4 popper 5 speed and has >200K miles and still runs great (Mother in law's husbands car now)
1993 Ford Ranger Extended cab 2WD XLT. Bought it years ago and the owner told me it had a 4 cyl engine in it. I opened the hood and found a 3.0L V6, AOD and 200K miles on it. Got it for $1000.00, had the tranny re-built and ran it for YEARS after that. My wife got in an accident and totaled the truck. We got almost $7K for it from the insurance co.
1986 Ford Bronco EB Edition, 351W, C4 (I believe) 6" lift and 35" BFG MTs, KC Lightbar and 4 150W KC Daylighters. Loved this rig but, needed something more reliable so I traded it in for a Jeep. BIG MISTAKE!!! Would buy this back if I found it for sale somewhere.
1971 Ford Bronco, 302, 3 on the tree, D30 front, 9" rear, D20 T-Case and rough body. I drove up to Denver CO to buy this thing and it drove home (Albuquerque NM) Bought this to replace the Jeep but, wife talked me out of it so I sold it to a buddy and kept the Jeep (BIG MISTAKE)
1974 Ford Bronco, 302, NP435, D20 T-Case, D44 Front, 9" Rear and a pile of RUST. So far gone I parted this one out. RIP one EB. Hopefully the donor parts will keep sever other EBs on the road.
1993 Ford Explorer EB Edition 4x4. 4.0L, AOD, STOCK Bought this with the $$$ from the Ranger accident. Traded it in after a few years for a 1997 Ford Expedition (TBA)
Current:
1997 Ford Expedition EB Edition, 5.4L V8, AOD, Big Green Machine with leather seats and all the creature comforts I can handle. Unfortunately, this is the wifes rig and she's 5'0" 100lbs and is ready to sell this monster for a Mustang GT Convertable. At least I have her still buying Fords...
1998 Ford F150 Ex. Cab Short Bed 4x4. 4.6L V8, 5 Speed, 8.8 Front and 10.25 Rear. 1000W of MP3 playing power for my 50 miles a day commute to work. BFG AT KO tires and a Warn D-Ring in my receiver. I bought this to replace my Jeep as a daily driver. Much more reilable then the Jeep ever was.
1973 Ford Bronco - Used to have a 302 but, I sold that, C4/D20 on my work bench, D44 Front and 9" Rear on my garage floor waiting for gears and disk brake conversions. 5.0L V8 on engine stand waiting for a re-build. Body is removed and frame on the side waiting for sandblasting and painting with POR15. This thing is a Work In Progress (WIP) and will be completely re-built by the time I drive it again... I'm already anxious and considering buying another EB to drive while I build this one.
----------------------------------------
Hope I didn't bore you with my details... I have had lots of other cars and 4x4s but... this are the Fords I am happy to have had grace my garage and driveways.

Welcome Grunt!
Another FTE fugitive here. Is it just me or is that site ultra slow lately? It's like there's bad code or something. I swear it's anywhere from 10-30 seconds per page. Too annoying to even try any more.
Anyway, glad you made it over here. It's a little more relaxed here in my opinion. Everyone behaves except for dservit, but he only picks on idiots.

I'm a member at FTE, too, and it does seem slower over there right now than it used to be. I go chat in the Ford Vs forum, but this site has always been `home`. People are a lot closer here than any other site on the net. This place has really been like family a lot of times. Welcome!

Welcome to the site
It is a great group, it gets a little insane now and then but all in all everyone has a pretty good time.
