Overhaulin

Anyone else watch it last night? The restored this '70 Mustang in front of an audience at the SEMA show. It was so sweet when it was done. Great prank too, the guy thought that some shady repo company had it b/c of his son's gambling debts. Then i watched the episode of pimp my ride on MTV (I missed it on Sunday), the one where they don't want to pimp his '63 Ford Fairlane and give him a new 4runner instead. Putting a monitor into the spare tire under the 4runner just seemed ridiculous after watching them restore that Mustang but they did a nice job on the flames on his new 4runner.

Over the years I have only seen a couple of Mustangs that looked as good as the one they did last night. But, I did think they went over the top with the hand-carved tires . . .

I agree with swampview, that was the one of the best, if not the best Mustang ive seen, especially the paint job with the black stripes. I would pass on the tires tho.
"Pimp my ride" is a pretty lame show when compared to "Overhaulin" or "Monster garage", only watched it once.
What happens when he needs to replace one of the tires?

I wouldn't mind having a 514 Gambler for my self. Of couse I'd have to get some regular tires for it so I could smoke em down and not worry about ruining the one off BFG's.

The gambler looked great but I prefer a smaller wheel with more sidewall on the tires. Maybe I'm just too old school. It was cool to see them machine those wheels out of the aluminum blanks. Handcarving those tires was probably for the SEMA audience.

Those tires will just be over the top @ the Shows. He'd win first at almost show already but those are just to be sure. I'd have to walk back into the BFG trailer and ask for 4 more though. Def a cool factor though
