Thumbs up Starting a New Project

I hope this thread doesn't get moved

I Just bought a nice little ride, that will be my new project

In the Short term I am going to do a 5 inch lift, upgrade axles to Dana 44's or Dana 60's and throw a set of 35 inch tires on it. Down the road I am going to do a full Cage, and better transfer case and a 5 liter with a overdrive Automatic.

So now I have to sell the Focus, as the new red beast will become my dailly driver. It is a 1994 4 liter, 5 speed, 74,000 miles

Nice

Nice little project.

We have one ourselves.

This is going in our 91 mustang. 408 stroker. May put a 100 shot on it after it's broken in. We'll see what it runs.

We pulled the tranny , engine, stripped the engine bay, interior, fuel tank. Just sand blasted and painted the undercarriage and bay. We have alot of work to do but my old man wants something to run at the track. I don't know what is gonna do but it should go pretty good. We have a whole new suspension system going in with a cage so we hope it's in the low 11's maybe low 10's. I'm sure it will be alot of tuning and learning the first year.

He's at the track everyweek and was putting too many passes on his truck. So now, if this blows up.....he can park it and still have the Lightning to drive.

Why would you hope that when you know that it's off topic?!?

If you are planning on using the jeep for rock crawling, I would just stick with the factory 4.0L (is that what it has?). Big horsepower is not needed for crawling, as most pro rock crawlers use V6's and smaller. But if this is going to be a mud or sand machine, go five-O!
