However, I'm not sure what's more impressive . . .

The RC piloting, or the camera work. Following that thins around as well as the camera operator did was also quite impressive.
That's exactly what I thought. What a great cameraman! Almost makes you think the whole thing is cut and paste. Hard to believe a camera can follow that routine.

I seen some crazy chopper frestyle routines but never like that!

I tried a RC choppers but it's tough for me just to hover. I always noticed that the guys that start with choppers make the transition to planes very easily while the oppostie is not the norm. Oh well I'll just blame it on the dumbthumbs.

No, STUPID EXPENSIVE!!!

It's easy to dump thousands into a good RC heli. Keep in mind that he has factory sponsorship so that means a big budget and lots of hop-up goodies. That particular heli is probably equal to a factory works bike or a formula racer.

I think this is the heli he was flying in the video. I believe those prices quoted do not include an a .90 size heli engine, radio system, or a decent heli radio set. It adds up quick and helis are more technicalyy oriented so they are harder to set up and require more maintanance.

The pricelist for a Raptor 90 SE comparable to the one in the video:

Raptor 90 SE kit with OS91 C-SPEC engine: U$ 1150
Muffler for engine: U$ 120
Futaba 9Z WCII Radio system transmitter: U$ 850
Servo actuators, receiver and battery: U$ 550
Gyro and servo for tailcontrol: U$ 350
Special painted canopy: U$ 140
Mainrotor and tailblades carbon fiber: U$ 150
Misc bling items: U$ 100
Ground Support equipment: U$ 200

Total cost: U$ 3610

Note that you need at least 3 flying Helis is you are a factory pilot - one primary, one backup and one for spares.

Fuel cost per flight: U$ 5

Being soaked in sweat after the intensity of flying a heli: Priceless

The setup works by using variable mainblade pitch from +10 deg to -10 deg with 0 deg in the center. The radio mixes throttle and pitch control together for a constant mainrotor speed. So the heli flies upside down just as good as right side up. The speed governor keeps the mainrotor rpm at about 1800 to 1900 during all maneuvers. A solidstate piezoelectric gyro with a superfast servo controls the tail and prevents the torque changes of the mainrotor from moving the tail. The pilot moves the stick and the gyro rotates the tail a certain deg/sec corresponding to the stick position. There is a switch on the tx that makes the engine go to idle to practice autorotations. In contests the engine is turned off completely.
The World Championships for Heli flight for 2005 are in Spain.

I wonder how many choppers he crashed and burned before he got that routine down!
