Thanks to all who wished me well. Like said, the F-150 is nice, but the Tundra DC fit my needs better.

Also, I did test drive two F-150's that had the vibes and a good friend of mine traded his F150 in after 10 months because of the vibes too.

I think the Tundra's are great trucks... I'm sure there as reliable as anything else out there. However all three of the domestics (IMO) are better looking, and I'd much rather have the Titan's 5.6L engine if I was going to get a foreign truck. As a result, I'd doubt that I'd get a Toyota if I was buying new.

BTW - What's up with the taillights on those step-side Tundras? They look like Toyota pulled them off of a PT cruiser or something going for the 'retro' look. Talk about missing your target audience.

Thumbs up

I test drove a Tundra a couple of years ago. What I remember most is that the truck really wanted to go! It felt like the Maxima of trucks. Hey, enjoy your new ride!

Test drove an Access Cab 4x4, that was one quick truck.

Sounds and looks like some pretty convincing evidence to me. I'm sold on Ford.

No, I had not seen that before but since it's put out by Ford it's bound to be biased...right? I'm not saying the F-150 is a bad truck, I almost got one but just test drive a new 282hp Tnudra Double cab. It really is sweet and weighs 600 lbs lighter than the F-150. The Ford needs a bigger engine and they HAVE to fix the frame.

I like the looks of the F-150 better than the Tundra to tell you the truth.

It's all good.

The truth about trucks video is biased to Ford, but the facts are all there. Can't deny Ford was serious about staying #1.

I like the Tundra. I don't care what anyone says. Great build quality and reliability. Plus they are pretty dang fast. Especially with the extra power they gave the i-FORCE 4.7L (282 hp/325 lb-ft of torque) If you need a truck to just get around in, or go off-road, and not haul anything extra heavy, the Tundra can hold its own. It just depends on what your needs are in a truck. But that's just my humble opinion.

For those whom prefer the Tundra, see the link below. A link like this can also direct us to the F150, Silverado, Ram, and Titan, yes Titan.

Bottom line: they all have their share of problems. Obviously, they are mechanical beasts with several thousand moving parts designed and assembled by men and women. Anything in production will be subject to human error; whether in design or assembly.

Tundra Has Its' Own Problems...

the Hurricane is on the way, but the frame? Did you watch the Truth videos? After viewing it, I would never consider a Chevy or Toyota after that.

Like I said, for my purpose it's fine. I don't want any vibes and I want reliability. If I was towing/hauling heavy stuff I would get the Ford but, I'm not.

heh, so if you were going to use it like a truck you woulda got a ford, i gotcha brother. You contradicted yourself there anyways, you want reliability and no vibes but would have the ford if u were towing and hauling. Towing and hauling requires reliability and no vibe in my book. Ah well, enjoy ur toyo.

Jake,

Take what they say with a grain of salt. They're just brand loyal and proud of their trucks. You enjoy your Tundra. It doesn't matter what anybody else thinks as long as your happy with what you got. As far as their opinions go...screw em'.
