Did you see Overhaulin last night?

Last night I watched the latest Overhauled episode. Chip Foose was working on two new Caddies. I noticed a funny thing. Chip has a new paint guy, Charlie. If you guys watch American Hotrod you’ll notice that Charlie was the paint shop manager for Boyd’s shop. Seems Charlie went to work for Chip. I know on one of the previous episodes of American Hotrod Charlie was talking about how always working under the gun was getting old. Seems Boyd was giving unrealistic dates for some of the cars and the shop guys were working way too hard. Looks like Charlie’s younger brother “Beetle Bailey” was also working for Chip.

Oh and did you see the latest episode of American Hotrod where Blue Bear got fired? That guy really pushed his luck, glad to see that clown go!

Anyway I just thought that was interesting.

I did see it but it was on the show "Rides" not "Overhaulin." Its good to see Charlie and Beetle working for Chip now becuase they both seem to be very talented and I've always liked Chips Foose's stuff better that Boyd Coddingtons. It was also great to see Blue Bear get fired. Hopefully we'll get more info on why Charlie and Beetle left the Coddington shop in future episodes of American Hot Rods.

Man, I haven't watched Hot Rod yet. It's on tape and you spoiled it. BLUE BEAR NOOOOOO.

Charlie is a whiner.

LOL sorry Cowboy, I should have put a disclaimer on this thread!

Don't read until youve seen the latest episodes!

If it was me, Blue Bear would not of lasted as long as he did if I was the boss and he was popping off like that when I was paying for HIS car to be built. I think Charlie was one of the best workers in the shop. I wish I could get him or FOOSE to lay a few licks of paint on my rides, or better yet, give em a complete overhaulin.

I agree, I mean having a shop clown is fun. I know before I took the job I have now my work environment has always been in a shop. A funny guy keeps the day from being so mundane. But this guy would do more than just be funny; he’d also negatively affect the shop environment by pissing people off. He had it out with numerous people on the show. Remember the guy from Montana? That guy was about to beat down Blue Bear right there on the show. I don’t blame him. People like Blue Bear like to see how far they can push peoples buttons, but at the time it comes to putting his money where his mouth is, they always back down. I’d say take it out back and settle up man-to-man, but guys like this are all talk. That’s just cowardly. And I think Boyd let him get away with way too much. Boyd might have even lost some respect by the guys in the shop because he let Blue Bear walk over him so much. Any way, it will be interesting to see some new faces on the future shows.

Rides was good with the Cadillacs but Overhauling was better, that Bel Air they worked on turned out so sweet.
