Go nuts! http://www.screensaver.com/

I use the timeless 'Blank Screen' on all mine. I used to use a sweet aquarium SC, but it used up too many CPU time, taking away from the SETI client.

Thanks guys. D, you say that your SC used too many CPU taking away from the SETI. I hate when that happens (I also have no idea what any of that means.)

I really like www.webshots.com. They have lots of cool images, and I think they're compressed or something. The images are super quality, but they don't use up lots of drive space.

I would suggest like dzervit, set the screensaver to none OR blank screen. If set to blank screen have it set for 20 minutes and then have the power saver set to 30 minutes which will allow the monitor to go into sleep mode after that time. Same with none, set the power saver to 30 mintues as well. Screensavers can be hard on hard drive and the actual amount of CPU usage that it requires. Basically, you are using these devices all the time even though you are not actually using the computer for anything. You can save some wear and tear by setting to the above.

Izzy - I wouldn't be worrying about wear & tear. SSs are there to prevent burn-in and entertain. Your not causing the PC any more 'work' per se. All my PCs run at 100% CPU Utilization 24x7x365. No issues. Give 'em clean power and cool them properly and life is good!

At work I have the best... I have about 50 screen grabs from Catia (3d modeling software) as my screensaver. When I leave my screensaver makes it look like I am still working, every 30 seconds the image changes so it looks like I am always busy.

Are these the kind of screen savers you are talking about? One from either of these will DEFINATELY give you something new to look at, unless you find someone on there you know.

SETI, that's it. It consumes all unused resources to handle the task.
