Beware Of Scam
This is posted in the Lighting Forum but I thoiught I would also post something here.
I Received the following three e-mails in response to an ad in the classifieds:
From: nat Email: tommynat@outgun.com Message: I AM INTERESTED IN Gauges I WILL LIKE TO KNOW IF IT IS NOT SOLD.i will also like to know if a certified cashier cheque is accepted for payment.thanks ================================================== ===================
HELLO, GUAGE to be picked up from your location for onward shipping to London. Cost and modalities of shipping to be born by me. Payment for the purchase is by check through a debtor in US. The debtor owes me higher than my purchase($2500). He will therefore be sending you a check to cover the cost of my order($800), as well as the Shipping costs. On receipt of the check, you will cash and deduct the cost of my order .The balance you will send via western union to the shipping agent, as we would instruct you to the Agency that will ship the Goods to us. If this arrangement suites you fine, please send me your address where to send the check, as well as the name to be on the check. Also send me your phone number for easy communication.
NOTE: All cost of cashing the check at the cash point or money store should be deducted from the funds when cleared. Looking forward to hear from you.
