is it just me or does it seem that the further south you go, the more likely it is the turkey will be fried?

Is it a regional thing? Cultural?

Sorry, we just don't do the fried turkey thing in Canada.

Not too many years ago, very few people outside of Loisianna and East Texas deep-fried their Turkeys. It's catching on now; and, people are realizing how much better it tastes that way. It's spreading your way.

At the company dinner last year, they fried up a couple that turned out pretty good. We're baking this year, although when Christmas rolls around, I think I'm gonna try smoking one.
