Talking Ford Gt

I thought this might be interesting. The dealer that my brother works at got a new ford gt yesterday. Actually it was delivered by private carrier on saturday. The new owner came to pick it up late monday morning. It was white with blue stripes. I will try to post pictures if I can. Has anyone else heard of any other dealers getting gt's?

heard it is a lottery pick, and the small dealers have the same chance as the large. don't think any dealer is getting more than one, so there will be some huge markups, or something

The purchaser was the owner of enterprise rental car and he paid $100 over invoice for it.

It's good to see Ford back in the performance game! Now if they would only come out with something more affordable that wasn't a mustang...

ford gt

FYI, I looked at a brochure for the 05' mustang last week and there is no competition orange available according to it. As for the GT, i have a brochure for that and it shows 7 or 8 color schemes including the baby blue/orange look of the original gulf gt.

Well I don't have a digital camera or I'd take a pic of it.

I went to their website but I couldn't find a pic of it yet.

http://www.gallowayfamily.com/index.html

They have the biggest ford dealership I've ever seen and even has a full resturant there.

Their SVT salesman/rep told me they sell more mustangs than any other dealership in the country and are second to a dealership in CA for SVT sales.

The orange one (their first) belongs to the owner, he's not going to sell it and the other two are presold.

I don't doubt they make it in orange, or the fact that the owner of the dealership has one. i just haven't seen one yet, and am surprised they offer a 1K/yr run of vehicles in so many colors. when the 99 Lightnings came out, i think there were only 3 colors to choose from, black, white, red. i know we are talking a little price difference here.

My local Ford dealer has one. They had it parked out front last weekend and I was out driving my Lightning so I stopped in to take a close up look. It’s a good looking car and I believe the price they were asking was approx. $28k.

The funny part was a young kid salesmen and another guy comes up to where I was (the GT and my Lightning was next to the road about 100 yards away from the dealer) and ask what I think. I tell them I like it a lot but not interested in buying it.

The salesmen tells me something to the affect of “Ya I can understand that since it looks like you put some money into your truck with the body kit, rims, tires etc.” and the other guy with him said about the same thing, told me the body kit looked pretty cool and Ford should do something like that to a regular F150…

Man I laughed my *** off and told them that Ford DID do something like that to a regular F150 and not just a body kit but stuck a supercharger on the 5.4, put brakes from an F250 along with a built F250 transmission, a 4” wide aluminum driveshaft, 3.73 L/S rear-end and then called it a Lightning, just like my truck…
