Who was running for local office?

I vaguely remember a thread where someone revealed they were running for local office. Who was it and how'd you do?

I said I was running from local officers.
I didn't do too good.
I banged my knee up pretty bad on some trashcans and it was the usual when I went down. I got worked over pretty good.

How come there's never a video camera around when I get arrested?

Alright, I'll come clean since RR ID'ed me as the culprit running for local office.

I won! Beat a long time incumbent and now have a seat on the local school board. Around here, that has about all the respect of getting a free tire rotation at NTW. For my first official act, I'm abolishing the practice of bringing goats to school.

Congrats, Serotta!!

If you get no respect on the school board, run for dogcatcher next time. Then the sky's the limit!!!

which can lead to municipal office or even state legislature.

2 terms later you're running for congress!

Good thing you guys ain't in my voting district!

Thanks for all the er, ehm, ah, suggestions, but I think 4 years on the school board is all this ole' boy can stand. I already have a career riding bikes, delivering kids to soccer and keeping beer out of my refrigerator.
Riding the bike part is fun, delivering the kids is beginning to get old with both of them playing school and club ball, but my pride and joy accomplishment is never going to bed with a beer left standing in the fridge. A record that shall go unblemished as long as I can still open the bottles.

Well I don't know about NC but that might actually qualify you to be a Senator in Massachusettes, now you just have to drive some chick into the water...
