Yep I agree

I don't understand why people run 100% of the Nitrous power off the line. When I ran Josh's truck (who doesn't have a progressive system) I launched it at about 90-95% until about the 60 foot mark. Then I pushed the gas pedal the final 1/4 inch which armed the system. Doing it that way knocked 3/10 off his earlier runs.

Rob there is no way you will ever get the most out of your truck if you spin off the line. Get your truck rolling and then let the Nitrous system do what it is designed to do. Set the delay in your system so it doesn't activate untill your about 60 feet off the line. Our trucks have enough power to get off the line without Nitrous, and in most cases not enough suspension to get off the line with a big shot of Nitrous.

I am sure with some adjusting of your system, and more track time you will get a run that will make you really smile.

Don, does this count even for an old Bronco with bad valves?

I know, I know, I know.................

I've been re-running those passes in my head OVER AND OVER
and there is no doubt I COULD HAVE done things Diff,
(like NOT launching with 100HP), (BUT I HAD TO, it's like putting a red button in front of me and saying "DON'T TOUCH IT")
Actually I've been launching with 75 HP for 2 full seasons and
IT'S ALWAYS taken it, so I will continue to Launch on Spray
just not 100HP. Next time, I WILL delay the ENTIRE system for a couple of tenth's, then let it come in, I'll also run with less psi in the slicks, AND I PROMISE TO TAKE MY SEATS OUT AND DE-WEIGHT IT. (oh ya, I didn't do that either)

I feel bad for you Denny, because WE ALL KNOW there is
a 11.5 - 11.6 run in it JUST THE WAY IT SITS, but a part of me is also glad because now I have something to shoot for next season, WOO HOO.

I only brag about the BEST ET's, but the facts are the Zex only gave me ONE 11, and it wasn't that easy to achieve, it truly took the perfect day, perfect set up, and perfect weather for it to happen, as Gator said (and I agree) I prob NEVER would
have done it again (with the Zex Kit) That day WAS THE FIRST
TIME I truly de-weighted the truck, along with removing the radiator cover, Jack, emptied the compartments, tools, etc....
Since then I HAVE NEVER DONE ALL THAT AGAIN.

This is some of the #'s "in the order I remember" with the Zex Kit

12.8 1st Zex pass ever (not enough timing)
12.0
12.0
12.7 (Launch trouble w/ Slapper Bars, had to get off and on it)
12.2
12.5
12.8 (More Launch Trouble w/slappers, I now use 58" bars)
12.3
11.8
12.1
12.0
More 12.0's + 1's in there somewhere.....

Now the Wizard
11.9
11.8
11.9
11.8
I AINT DOING SO BAD....

Bottom line is, I'm HAPPY and thats all that counts.
For a L with no suspension, Exhaust, Trans, or cooling Mods,
I am exactly where I want to be.

NOW NEXT SEASON IS ANOTHER STORY,
Me and Denny ARE going to run mid 11's

RIGHT DENNY

It's easy to see through Rob_02Lightning's "enthusiastic" posts most of the time. I have seen him talk shiot about someone saying he's faster than this person or that person, and post a timeslip in the same thread where it clearly shows he wasn't. No big deal, it's entertaining to say the least.

Rob,
Yes, next year is whole new season. Don't worry about new goals as we have a few other projects in the works to make things even better, and a few tips and tricks for you to use.

I can only imagine your enthusiasm when you hold the record for the fastest stock block L.

@ Denny
OH YA, WE GONNA HAVE SOME FUN

Come on people, lighten up,
If you guys haven't figured me out by now, you never will

As said by many in this post, Me + Gator have been doing this for years, for some it's become quite entertaining, (especially because WE DO usually run neck and neck and always seem to have results that leave us both as the winner, AND the Loser, IT'S GOOD FORUM GOT DAM IT...... hehehehehehehe.....

BUT
For those that REALLY know me, you also know I am heavily seeded into this Forum, Family, and Community, AND GIVE BACK 200%, there is never a time I won't help, I never talk schitt about anyone, and I have helped out hundred's if not thousand's of people here in many and diff ways. I'm like "World Famous"
OR SOMETHING ??? (at least in my own mind) hehehehehehe........

BUT YES I LIKE TO HAVE FUN,
You Won, Post Moved...................

But the fact remains, GATOR HAS NEVER RAN AN 11.81
AND I'M FASTER

Thats funny, you run the same valve body as I do, but I have trans mods..........................
And you run the same 58" traction bars as I do, but I have suspension mods.................

That's what I love about my pal Rob, he never lets the truth get in the way of a good story.......LMAO

ShockTherapy,

I don't follow the lightning forum very often, but that's one of the nicest pictures (your sig) I've seen in a very long time.

Sweet truck
