1. They end up in a giant shredder

2. The dealer needs to CYA

In all seriousness, its all apart of a movement to ensure customers are not getting abused, are happy with service and that the customer thinks Ford actually gives a hoot about them. This will mean more repeat customers... bottom line, $$$$

say yes to hate. And don't save the children.

My dealer lives in fear of those surveys, they are always making sure that I'm not ready to say anything bad about them. Maybe its Ford's way of dealing with lots of complaints about crappy dealers. I wonder what Ford does if a dealership gets a lot of bad surveys? Maybe they only sned then Focuses to sell?

It can take away their 'blue oval' certified status. Prolly also costs the dealer free funds from corporate for improvements, advertising, etc...

Most automakers have moved to this 'fear of corporate' structure of doing things.

My BMW dealer told me if he doesn't get constant '5 out of 5' ratings he'll get warnings then can his ****. I don't think he's lying either, since everyone at that dealer is WAY to nice and willing to help! I like it!

Spread hate.

D...your exactly right. The surveys are directly related to how much of a discount the dealer gets, what perks they get and other stuff. Ford actually tracks each employee in the dealership, and will give a bonus to guys who are doing good. While I had my little stint working at the dealership, Ford was really pushing battery sales. So they tracked the service writers and gave them bonus money according to the sales. The reason the dealer wants you to fill them out with all #5s or whatever the highest number is, is because thats all ford looks at when they count them up for the dealership score. If its a 5...the dealer gets a point, if its a 4.9 or lower, the dealer gets a 0. Pretty ****ty, but its a way to keep a good dealer network.

Mine too. The woman who sold the truck to me actually told me basically be nice or she could loose her job. Yeah whatever. I still railed her on her survey because she didn't know **** about the products she was selling. I am glad I did give her a bad review now because I never heard back from her after I drove off the lot with the truck. However, I did give her a few points for being a hot redhead.
