Me and Maggie...

Mickey and Maggie...

Tuff and Maggie...

Anyway, she'll be 6 weeks old this Thursday. She's just as laid back as they come. I have had her for 5 hours and she's already pooped once and peed once in the house. I sure did miss picking up those little bitty piles of poop! Hopefully she'll be house broken in a week or two. I don't think she'll be ready in time for duck season, but she'll be ready and rearing to go next year!

Time to dig out all of Tuff's old stuff. #1 on the list is his puppy kennel.

I'll give an update as she grows.

Enjoy!

Tuff

She's cute!......

Oh yeah...the puppy is, too.

You and the pup look right at home in nap mode.

(Interesting sofa you've got there... )

I loved when my yellow lab was that small, all he wanted to do was sleep on you...then he grew teeth....now all he wants to do is chew on you.

5 months now and getting better, thank god he can hold it through the night now. 4am was getting rough.

Well, first of all, that IS NOT my couch! That was taken at my g/f's house...but thanks for noticing John

wild-mtn-rose - You're right, Tuff isn't so sure about her yet. He snarls everytime she gets near him. Tuff is spoiled ROTTEN, and has been an only dog for 3 1/2 years. Plus, the hole male dog vs. female puppy thing is proving to be true. He wants nothing to do with her. He follows her around the house just to make sure she doesn't do anything, or go anywhere she's not supposed to.

Last night, I was sitting on the couch, and all of a sudden Tuff comes running around from the back of the couch, goes and sits on the fireplace hearth, and gives me that "Uh-oh-something-aint-right" look. I stand up and he rolls over on his back in defense mode. I walk around to the back of the couch and there is this little turd pile on the floor. He KNEW it was wrong. Of course, it wasn't him, it was the puppy, but he thought he'd be the one I took it out on. It was kinda funny...once you got past the smell.

She cried 5 or 6 times throughout the night and woke me up, but that's to be expected. I had a surprise this morning though. I woke up and she didn't go #1 or #2 in the kennel! I was shocked.

Oh, and I think she has ADD.

We have a vet appt this afternoon...hopefully she isn't eaten up with worms or anything.

Thanks for the replies!

Hey TUFF..... Good choice man, shes cute as hell

And that puppy aint to bad either....

I know, I know..everyone else has already beat that joke to death, but I just had to do it. Anyway, she is a cute pup, makes me want to get another one. And then I look at Caine (he just walked in my room) and decide that one 120lb (or more) goofy Lab is enough for me right now Good luck with her.

Welcome to the boards MAGGIE!!!!

Tuff, see my post in Bullits doggie death thread for advice on how to train the new pooch...

How did a drunk Dave Matthews look-a-like like you bag a classy chick like that?! I ask myself the same question every day ('cept I don't look like D. Matthews..).
