05 Fords

I was just check’en my local dealer online. They have the 05 Mustang GT Coupe listed for $27,455. The 05 F-150’s are listed from $24,000 - $37,000.

Anyone see the 500's? Thoughts? There's smaller than I thought they would be, but I still like them. I think they look pretty nice. I like the front ends.

The 500's I hear replace the Taurus. Only seen them in photos, but I like them. I totally love the retro stangs The new F150’s always makes me drool! But don't tell Hoss, he gets jealous if I stare at other trucks

Yes, the 500s are AWD, too, that's REALLY nice. If they had a V8, I'd be on it.

Salesman at the dealership that sold me my lightning called last night. Said he had a new GT he wanted me to purchase.
I told him to call back again this summer when the initial "feeding frenzy" was over
I am probably going to get one but I don't need to be the first guy on the block!!!

This week I saw the 500 and the new Stang. The 500 is really nice and really comfortable. At first I didnt like the new Stangs, but after seeing one up close, and sitting in it, I really like them. The interior style is really cool, matching the color of the exterior.

I checked out an 05 Stang today as well... sticker on it was only around $22k but, naturally, that was stripped to the bone and almost base.

Very cool looking though... But, IMHO, it didn't match up with that 2005 KR that I drove.

Mustang is nice, so is the 500.

The Mustang is very retro looking with the 1/4 glass and all. Saw a white one that was going to be a police car.

The 500 is nice. Has a grille like a Crown Vic. Lots of room inside too. Good replacement for the tired Taurus.

Have you seen the Freesyle yet?? Smaller SUV. I hear it is on the Volvo chassie. They come FWD and AWD.

If the 500 is going to replace the Taurus; what about Ford's NASCAR racing teams.

Does NASCAR allow them to race a car that is longer in production? How long can they race using the Taurus frame?

Don't tell me thay are going to use the Freestyle frame.

I don't know their rules about how long they can run a car after production ended.

They don't use the Taurus frame, all the frames in NASCAR are custom tubular design. Also, the Taurus is FWD, all NASCAR is RWD. They use the outside body shape, well sort of, it's tweaked too.

Unless I read wrong, Ford is still carrying the Crown Vick and the Taurus along with the 500. I’m sure that one if not both will die off soon. The Crown Vick is getting old. But then what will cops use… The price of the 500 I mentioned above was for the FWD 500’s. I haven’t seen the AWD yet.

Did anyone read that there going to drop the GT40 engine into a Lightning.

The 500 is really nice and comfy. I just wish they would have given it another 30 or 40 hp.
