Broken Bats

OK. It's been a long time since I've seen baseball. Some of you may remember from previous posts that I have no love for professional sports . . .
but, I've been watching the MLB Playoffs (mostly because of my Boston ties and St. Louis ties)
I have to admit that the Red Sox comeback has been awesome to watch . . . Plus, I just got HDTV and it's great to see the games in HD....
. . . and good news, St. Louis just won game 6 as I type.

Anyway, I have noticed something. What's up with all the broken bats?

Like I said, I have not watched the game in quite a long time. So maybe this is common now, but when I used to watch all the time I don't ever remember many broken bats. And here, just watching 11 games I must have seen close to 30 broken bats, if not more.

What's up with that?

Batters crowd the plate.
Pitchers pitch inside.
The skinny part of the bat handle is abused.

Although no sooner did I post that than Cabarra busted his bat on an outside pitch that was nailed by the sweet fat part of the bat making me look quite the idiot.

But I didn't care because Boston won and those idiots are going to the World Series!

Im a huge Yankee fan and today I could barely get into work. I dont get it, we just fell apart offensively, and of course we never had a pitching staff. Just like many NY fans have been saying all season. Maybe this will open Brenners eyes and he will put his money towards some guys who can throw it.
First moves...

Dump Posada ($9mil), Lofton ($3mil), Olerud ($7mil), KEVIN BROWN ($16mil), Heredia ($2mil), Sierra ($1mil)

That will give us about $40mil to play with (Brenner has so much bank, lol) and for god sakes pick up some quality young pitchers. And dont even think about buying Beltran.

Dont get me wrong, I love my boys Arod, Shef, Jeter, Mats..but their showing was poor. I dont think any one man is worth $20mil.

Brenner if you drive a F150 and are a member, BUY SOME PITCHERS.

Hats off to Boston, I hate your fans but way to come back, just wish it wasnt on NYY.
