"Real Time" with Bill Maher---

Man, I love this guy.
Most of what he says is funny as heck, and on point. Aside from his views on Religion- which I don't agree with", most of what he says is true. It's what I like to call, "Serious Comedy".

Do you guys (And gals) watch this show? What do you think?
I see a few of you like Jon Stewart. If you like Jon, then You'll love Bill Maher.

PS: What did he say that got him in so much trouble on Broadcast TV's "Politically Incorrect"?
--------------------------------------------

Bill Maher's: New Rules

New Rule: Stop saying over and over, "he can run, but he can't hide" about John Kerry, since it's the exact same thing you said about Osama bin Laden, who clearly can hide. Boy, can he hide. We can't find him with cruise missiles, satellites, or million dollar bribes. Although oddly enough, he is reachable through classmates.com.

New Rule: And this is the hardest New Rule I have ever had to deliver, and I know a lot of you aren't going to like this, but here it is. Let Bush win! I'm sorry. I know it's terrible to say that. But like every other swing voter in America, I got to think about the issues that are important to me. And to me the most important issue is... having an erratic jackass in the White House!

New Rule: "Rocky 3" isn't any good if he doesn't have Mr. T to fight with. A satirical tackling dummy like George Bush doesn't grow on trees. Without Bush, who will America's schoolchildren have to look down on? And folks, this isn't just me, you might ask yourselves, without George Bush around, where does the hate go?

New Rule: It'll be hard work! I'll have to search both internets. Therefore, for the next three weeks, I will be formally working for the re-election of the president, who I probably have been too hard on anyway! I mean, come on, we all make mistakes! Who amongst us hasn't bombed the wrong country, or united the world against us. We're all human!

New Rule: We try to learn from our mistakes by never acknowledging them, and then moving on. So... So, come on, liberals! Join me in getting behind... George Bush. Huh? Aw, come on, let's stay the course! The world is safer without Saddam, you can't deny that one! Flip-flopper, he's a flip-flopper.

New Rule: All right, it's lame, but... but what about values? Real estate values? Please! People! I have a mortgage, okay?: I have a family to feed. Not a family, but people who call me daddy, it's the same thing. What do you want from me?! Do you want me to say it out loud? Fine! I'll say it! I need George Bush! Please let him win this election. If for no other reason than for once in his life, he should have to clean up his own mess! Thank you very much.

I like Bill, but don't care for his single-sided bashing. If you deliver comedy then bash both sides. Otherwise, your not really doing comedy, your spreading your own agenda and trying (too hard) to influence voters.

Both parties offer more than enough material. I've really been enjoying SNL lately with their equal candidate bashing approach. Crackin' me up and not trying to lay down their own political agenda.

he makes me mad but i like to watch it because i have truelly learned a few things watching it. I think it is important to here and see other people views, gives you somthing to think about and it either cements your view or make you reconsider.

the show is all about entertainment, i think Bill is doing what Rush, O'reily and Stern do, have a strong opion (weather it is truely his opion or not) cause a buzz and get more viewers.

i think his hate and others hate of Bush is so strong it actually hurts Kerry in the vote

It should hurt Kerry, shouldn't it? There are people our there shooting up republican party headquarters, and committing other violent acts appearently because they hate Bush. These are the people who want to elect Kerry. These are the people who are supposed to represent the majority if Kerry is elected? Great!

I'm with dzervit, I like to laugh but there is enough material to appear unbias by bashing both parties.

The left has Bill and John Stewart, the right has Dennis Miller.

I'd say it's a fair trade-off, especially since John and Dennis are much more funny then Bill.

Problem is the same in Basball, sad to say but half of the Kerry followers are just like the Boston Red Sox Fans....they typically hate on the opponent more than they root for there team.

Yankee Fans/Bush Supporters: Go Yanks/ Go Bush!

Boston Fans/Kerry Supporters: Yanks Suck/ Bush Sucks!

Then again Kerry is Boston...maybe its a Boston thing. Dunno.

Yanks in 6!! Come on Boys!

Where's the tolerance? I love how people like Bill Maher preach tolerance but his people have cero(zero). Bill Maher is ok until someone hits him with facts and then it becomes obvious he is just opinionated. His views on religion and Christians in general are sKerry. I do hope that the man rids himself of his hatred of Christians someday. He is a very mad and angry person.
