Military View of Presidential Election

Subject: Military View of Presidential Election

Guys,

Here are some statistics taken out of the Military Times. It was a poll of 4100 service members from every branch of the military. Here are the questions and results:

1. If the presidential election were held today, for whom would you vote? (active duty)

- 72% Bush

- 17% Kerry

- 6% undecided

2. Do you approve of the way President Bush is handling the situation in Iraq? (active duty)

- 60% Approve

- 23% Disapprove

- 16% No opinion or declined

3. If the presidential election were held today, for whom would you vote?

- Member Not deployed since Sept 11, 2001

- 72% Bush

- 18% Kerry

- 6-8% undecided

- Member Deployed two months or more since Sept 11, 2001

- 74% Bush

- 17% Kerry

- 6-8% undecided

- Member Not deployed to a combat zone since Sept 11,2001

- 73% Bush

- 19% Kerry

- 5% undecided

- Member Deployed to a combat zone since Sept 11, 2001

- 76% Bush

- 16% Kerry

- 5% undecided

For those of you who do not think this is not a significant poll result have been paying way too much attention to CNN or watched Fahrenheit 911 more than once. Our military is solidly behind our commander in chief. The military has a basic distrust for Kerry stemming from his anti war behavior after his return from Vietnam (66%). The military realizes that a commander in chief who waffles will lose resolve very quickly and expose the combatant to undue threats. 66% of respondents also viewed Iraq as the largest issue in the next election and for the intuitively gifted, this spells a great distrust for Kerry and his ability to lead us through this most important liberation and fundamental foundation to the War on Terror.

I also wanted to tell you that I cannot solicit a candidate and therefore if you elect to send this to anyone (and please do), I was not the source. The information was published in the Air Force Times dated 11 Oct 2004 (Vol. 65,No.12). Any doubters can contact the following for their own copy, 888-750-8099 or e-mail bookstore@@atpco.com. Research info can be obtained at http://www.airforcetimes.com/ or contact Senior staff writer Gordon Trowbridge at gtrowbridge@atpco.com.

Enjoy!!!

If it's up to the Dems., military individuals overseas wouldn't get to vote. Once again, they are messing with the absentee ballots.

it is well-known and has been widely-reported that bush will win the military vote in a big way. the military almost always votes republican/conservative...

what's your point? did cnn deny or question that assumption? have members of this forum said that 'this is not a signficant poll result..."?

Thanks for posting this. It is very encouraging. I do think it would be even better info if there had been more than 4100 service members polled. It does give us a slice of the general consensus, but like most polls it leaves variables.

Even still, I'll give it a
