Hey all,
just wanted to post and make myself known... I am a ALMOST owner at this point, I am looking to purchase a 150 super crew 4X4 and have been lurking around getting opinions. this seems like a really good forum with lots of proud owners, hopefully soon I will be one.. heres my first question.. I like the heritage style front and heard that the 04 was the last year for those, is this true????

thanks for this forum and hope to be posting a lot!!

Glenn

welcome to a great forum....

not sure about the eol for the heritage. might want to do a search on 'heritage' (that search button at the top of every page is an awesome tool..) or maybe post in the 04/05 f150 section?

GREAT time to buy an '04... you should get a TERRIFIC discount, especially if you wait more towards the end of the month to actually buy.... some guys are getting 30% and more off msrp...

cheers

04 was the last year for the Heritage style...

None the less, welcome to f150online.com! We're glad to have you aboard.

Welcome aboard. You might be able to scout out a Heritage on a dealer lot if you hurry. I'm sure supply is running thin at this point.

You can also save a little legwork by pulling up dealer's websites and checking that way, or have Ford centralize it by searching inventory through them. It will bring up dealers in your local area, you can opt out for 2004s and then search the inventory there. The 2005 XL's will have the same body styles as the rest...

In the KC area the dealer closest to me has two heritage's still sitting on his lot, both are white. He sold the red one about a week ago...

glenn, be sure to do a good, thorough test drive, especially on the freeway... spend some time moving from 55 > 80 > 55.... iow, look out for that 'vibe' issue that a certain percentage of f150s seem to have... (search on 'vibe' for more info...)

cheers

thanks for all the welcomes and advice.. unfortunately, it will be about another 6 months b4 I buy a truck so I will be getting a "used" 04 im sure, but thats ok....even an 03 with low miles will work...maybe I should start a thread during my search with prices and all..Ive always been curious how much prices vary across the country..

thanks again..

Glenn

I am (so far) absolutely in love with the dealership i've chosen - they charge $50 over invoice, then take all of the rebates and incentives off of that number (they're in Louisburg, KS). Having only a few years ago left Colorado, I remember in Denver (I'm not sure if they still do so, but they were) they ADDED a $2000 "market adjustment" to MSRP on all new vehicles. Talk about an additional negotiating cushion! Having been in two different metropolitan areas that really aren't so far apart (Kansas City to Denver is between 10 and 13 hours, depending on number of kids in your car), it is amazing to me that there can be such a difference in the prices charged, so a thread about the prices people paid could be really interesting...

I'm not a full-fledged owner yet, either. I'm waiting on the funds to arrive so I can go make my purchase. The salesman, though, lets me visit my truck whenever I want to until I can pay for it...
