Squish the Fish!

To take a break from the Bush/ Kerry debates I thought we could talk about the only other contest where the participants are as pathetic. I know we have some Bills fans and some Dolphins fans in here so...

Who is worse? Isn't it sad how low this game has sunk? How can we get excited about watching the only two winless teams left in the NFL bumble around on sunday? I think that the Bills have a slight (and I do mean slight) edge on offense but I have to give the Dolphins the nod on defense (especially the pass rush and secondary). I'm predicitng 6-3 for this nailbiter, but I'm not sure which way that score goes. Any thoughs Bills and Dolphins faithful? Who ends up with their first win and who stays in the AFC East cellar?

fatman...

Things are so bad down here I just don't know what to say....
Only one thing can save the season for me.
That would be to beat the "HATED" Jets
I predict this upcoming game will be won on a safety.

Like I said before, thank go the Bills games arent televised here. Its too painful to watch. My girlfriend who used to be big into the Bills now cant stand football all together because of the pain that team causes its fans. Talk about let downs.

True. Long lasting pain. But, I feel, over a period of time, that one can build tolerance towards the pain and thus, it doesn't hurt as bad. The Lions have, undoubtedly, sucked mega bad but, let's look at the Phins shall we (this year specifically)?

They're off to a roaring (hence, the Lions pun) start at 0-5 with only 4 TD's scored in 5 games. But, the real pain comes from the fact that we have one of the top 5 defenses in the ENTIRE NFL! Couple that with the fact that they've really never been an awful team and thus, you have a large group of die-hard fans that are dying. Me included. I'm not able to deal with this sort of pain and thus far, the NFL season has been lack luster at best for me personally (this comes post-spending $250 for NFL Sun Ticket). I'm in pain. Not a pain that coincides with a Detroit fan's pain but more along the lines of 'shock' pain. I don't want tolerance.

Dolphins faithful here as mentioned in an earlier response to the dz Lion comment.

Like ltn, I can't help but think that either team's defense will ultimately win the game. It'll be close and probably pretty fugly but, the beauty with the NFL is that there isn't such a thing as a tie. Someone will kill the goose egg.

I am in the heart of BILLS country and i do predict the BILLS to win 21-10 and truly squish the fish.. I am a optimist to the end and bledsoe will open it up with long passes to moldy moulds along with a true running game from mcgayee.

21-10 BILLS

In the battle for the AFC Least...

buck called it very close, 20-13 Bills Moulds (99 recieving) had a big day as well as McGahee (111 rushing) against a tough Miami defense. RP's comment about the defense being the difference was right, the Spikes interception for a TD was the difference in this one. Too bad Dolphins fans, we'll see you in December at your place, maybe the Jets and Pats will beat each other up bad next week.

The pain involved with being a Dolphins fan comes from having a team over the past 2 decades that has seasonally had either one of the best defenses, or one of the best offenses in the league, but never both at the same time. How many teams have ever averaged more that 30 points through a season and not even gotten a wildcard birth into the playoffs? This year is just the final turd in the outhouse. I hope they lose every game this season and do something about the way they organize a team. It's pitiful.
