To the guy looking for a X-plan pin
I’m sorry but this just rubs me the wrong way. I didn’t know your first post was asking, not for information, but for someone to help you scam a cheaper deal on your “wifes” car. People like you are the reason we don’t get chit at work or anywhere else for that matter. So you get your pin number, get a deal, go on your marry way. Word gets out sooner or latter of your scam and people like you. What’s my company to do except pull the promotion and contract with Ford, screwing me and the 1000’s of people that work here. With lay off’s, cut backs, off shore, and our shrinking dollar bill, these types of incentives make it a little easier going to work everyday and busting your ****.
When did honesty and hard work go down the toilet? Everyone is freak‘en victim. Sorry to the Web Masters for putting this as it’s own post but I wanted everyone to read it.

i would think theres some sort of legal issue here with selling/giving away xplan pin's. Im surprised the mod's allow those kind of posts. What if someone from ford with clout was to read forums like this and decide to do something about it. Goodbye x-plan. Perhaps this is why GM doesnt allow an xplan type situation, too many scamming people. Would hate to see this site get into trouble over someone wanting to save a few dollars on their new car.

To be able to use the X-Plan you need to be w/ an associated partner to FMC. Having an X-Plan pin only helps you find out what the negotiated price should be...something that any good car buyer can get to IF he knows what he should be paying...
I personally bought my '03 on the X-Plan, but had to show the dealer 2 forms of identification, plus a paycheck (& business card) to prove that I was an employee of a partnering company...
X-Plan ISN't for just anyone off the street. X-Plan pricing...well only if you can negociate well. Being an X-Plan partner only saves about 3 hours of haggling over the price.

yup, X-Plan is nothing more than saving yourself a few hours of bullsh@t negotiating. You'll find plenty of people on this site that will tell you they did better than X-Plan by sticking with the negotiations.
I used X-Plan this time around - don't know if I will again.

I know at my job they only allow two cars to be in my name using x-plan. I too had to use 2 forms of identification and a pacheck stub when I bought my 04 this year. Doesn't seem right to be able to give away pin #'s like that. But hey, doesn't matter to me--I'm clean.

i used the x-plan from a friend that retired from Ford to get my 04 lariat...from what he told me the x-plan is for friends of employees.....if his son wanted to get a new Ford he could use the A-plan to buy it....when i bought my truck in January the x-plan did help alot because they were not dealing alot on the prices as they were still new and were selling fast....in my case now with the purchase of an 04 mustang the x-plan price could actually be more than if i negotiated myself on the price...with the 05's on the way to all the dealers lots the 04's will have to go one way or the other....
This is a long post, but should answere questions..

FYI - proper negotiation can get you within $200-$300 of the X plan price anyway! You don't need it. There's no reason why anyone should ever pay more than invoice price on these new trucks. If your dealer won't deal, move on. There are loads of dealers here willing to sell at invoice with a little leg work on my part. I personally have access (legit) to the X Plan (our company provides CAD/CAM/PLM software to Ford), but the X Plan price was only a couple less than invoice. I guess one advantage of X plan is it requires the dealer to NOT charge 'document fees' and goofy crap like that. AND...with the incentives the way they are now, anyone in the country can get a better deal on a F-150 right now than I did in March. You don't need the X plan.
