Well, he's here! Born earlier than we wanted, but he's doing great. Breathing on his own, etc, etc. Born at 11:04 PM last night via c section.
4 lbs 7 oz, 18" tall
He'll have to stay in the neonatal ICU for a few weeks, but he should be just fine from all indications. FYI - he's 8 weeks premature.

My brother just had twins yesterday. They had 2 girls. One was delivered naturally, and the second was delivered by C section. One was 4 lbs. 9oz and the other was 4 lbs. 10oz. Both were 17" long. Both are very healthy and may get to go home on Sunday or Monday with the mom. They were born at 36 weeks.

Congratulations and welcome baby Allan!! Glad to hear everything is going to be A-OK. How is your wife doing?
She's doing fine too. She'll be released Tuesday. The baby took his first bottle feeding last night and they said it went fine. It was only 5 cc, but they'll increase it today to see what he does.
Well, let's see - he's now 6 days old, born 8 weeks premature...but look what the little goober was up to last night (been doing this ever since he was born). He's now opening his little eyes while feeding. He's hilarious. He just sucks on the bottle and looks all around while doing so
He's still in the Neonatal ICU, but they don't expect him to be there much longer. He's doing better holding his temperature...but other than that, there's not much else to speak of. I can't believe a baby can be 2 months premature and look like this/do this well.
