I've actually seen a lot of guys do that around here. Usually it's the passenger. Sometimes see the driver do it though. Somehow I think it's probably illegal

 

I think it may be illigal also. I have heard that it feels really good when a bug splatters across your toes at 30+ MPH (50+ KPH for you metric guys)

I hate to see passengers with their feet on the dash, out the window, etc...

And, I've seen SO many instances when kids aren't properly restrained in cars, 8 people in a 5-passenger car, etc...

I just wish I was a cop sometimes...

 

Now if her knee woulda just bumped the up switch on the window, there would be some stuck "little piggies" and a whole lot of crazy drivin'. Bet ole' C'tek would drop that digital and start producing some evasive manuevers...

I saw the end result of what happens when the passenger has her feet on the dashboard when the bag deploys. Drove her knees into her jaw, which promptly shattered, along with most of the bones in her face.

In Mass, it is illegal- It's called "impeded operation", chap 90 sec 13.... I've only seen it a few times, sneaking up on people. Most people check their "sixs" (look behind them), so they have time to pull their foot down, before I come up on them. I have also been to an accident where the operator had his foot up there when he rear-ended a tractor trailer. The impact split him like a wish bone.
