Ivan Is Back, And Heading For Me!

Just watching the news, and they said Tropical Storm Ivan is formed and heading right for Houston. Expected to land at Galveston Island tomorrow (Thursday) night and move straight through Houston. Right now its at 40 MPH winds, but expected to gain strength very quickly over the next day (possibly up to hurricane). Right now Galveston Island has tides 2-3 feet above normal.

I was wondering if they would keep the same name. I hope it doesn't strengthen too much. Good luck.

Hope you don't get hit to hard. I'll be praying for you and everyone else in the path. That storm just won't quit.

Hey, it's all my fault

I was in Louisiana last week when it hit and guess where I am now? Yep, Houston.
This is like being at home with the bad weather following me around.

40mph winds?! That's a standard mid-west thunder storm! Bust out the kites and have a ball!!!

I'd be more worried about your water-starved soil not absorbing the heavy rains and the resulting huge flash floods...

The floods will be the problem. It hit just past the Louisiana-Texas border at a 45mph wind wind tropical storm. Wind is picking up some over here, but the worst is yet to come. Expected to move into central Texas overnight and be stopped by some front moving in. Gonna sit there until Saturday just spinning off bands right into Houston. Fun stuff.
