Nukes in Iran by end of '05?

Seems to be getting close to that. Like Israel did with Iraq awhile back, I suspect if nobody else does anything about Irans eventual nukes, Israel will. I mean...who are they gonna **** off?...LOL Everyone over there already wants them removed from the face of the earth anyhow.

A radical country like Iran with nukes could be really scary. You don't know what they'd do. One thing's for sure, it would be blackmail time. They could hold the nukes over everyone's head...threatening to use them at any moment.

The thing that strikes me as odd about this whole mideast trouble we have today is this -
You have 2 groups of people that were murdered, tortured and abused by their own country - the jews of WWII in Germany and the Shiite muslims in Iraq. How did the jews react to their liberation in Germany? Very well I think. How are the Shiites reacting to their newfound freedoms? Many of them follow or sympathize with some rotten toothed cleric (al sadr ), taking up arms to shoot and kill the very people that died freeing them! The smart thing to do, on their part would be to at least lay low until we leave, and THEN raise a stink if they simply want to be in power. Don't kill the people that removed the tyrant that was persecuting you. If the vast majority of them don't support folks like al sadr, then they should speak up, rise up and stomp the trouble-makers into the ground.

Anyway, back to Iran...it'll be another North Korea soon if allowed to continue on this path (but worse). And lord knows the IAEA isn't about to do anything other than ask politely if they can walk around and look at stuff now and then. Once again, the UN will refuse to do anything about it and Iran will have nuclear weapons if this continues. I don't think a war is necessary and I don't think that would be a great idea anyway. I'd rather see, like I would have rather seen with Iraq, a nice covert operation to topple the current regime and at the same time wipe out their nuclear facilities. Just a few random thoughts I was having

On Fox around 6:00 pm, they had a story about this and said that we will be pressing the UN to quickly start a resolution letting UN inspectors in to monitor their nuclear work. Most every country is with us on this except Germany. They dont like the idea that the UN will use force if Iran does not comply.

Anyway, not sure another UN resolution will do any good, not if they enforce it like they did in Iraq.

Sled...

I wouldn’t worry about the UN trying to force or not force anybody to do anything. You have to remember that the UN is, for all practical purpose done, no longer relevant and the only reason we allow them to continue is to keep them boneheads from France, Germany and other terrorist countries busy with girly man things while we conduct business.

Remember we have Israel and Russia on our side and neither of those countries has to deal with the feel good coward terrorist supporters we have in this country. I am putting money on either Israel or Russia quickly, conveniently and rudely taken care of the problem. Rudely is meant to mean neither of them will care too much like we did about “surgical” strikes, they’ll simple take out the whole damn neighborhood or city to “neutralize” the problem…

Man I love countries that take of problems so efficiently…
