Why did you sign up?

Just out of curiosity (and lack of good discussions today)...why did a lot of you sign up on the forum, was it for issues with your truck? guidance? more info? tips on buying a new ride? just banter with other owners? or wait, was it lack of real friends (jk)?

I joined to learn more about the truck and the mods and addons available. I originally found this site to get info on lifts and what people are doing to these trucks.

I needed a place to learn about my soon-to-be new purchase. Wanted to see what other owners are doing and opinions on the new truck. After that, I just liked to harass people and share my *COUGH* wealth of knowledge.

After nearly getting booted from another conservative so-called 'family' board (for harmless fun) I came over yonder. The 'other' board was just too goodie-goodie for me. And the mods are like sharks for no reason. They have zero sense of humor, and god forbid you say someone's a shmuck for a ludicrous post. I find this place to be a little more understanding to my warped head, and enjoy the company over here, though I do miss a couple partners in crime that stayed at the 'other' place.

While I may be a pain, thanks Webmaster for allowing me to continue my post-assult here! Uhhh, I mean

Joined for pretty much the same reason. When I found this sight I looked mostly at the tech stuff. Now I have made many mods, some from stuff bought from here, or ideas from here.
Now it is just a place to come for a good laugh, new ideas, and waste part of my workday away.

Sled...

**** gets old after a while.

I came here because I was considering trading in my '99 for an '04. There was lots of good info in the '04 Forum at the time, and this place pretty much sealed the deal for me.

1k in 5 months... ooohhh the productivity wasted. Out of the 1k, about 5 were actually helpful
At least you were able to share it with 5 people.

Yeah I am pretty much an addict of this site. At least every 15-30 minutes I check it. I definitely have gotten into conversations with D where it goes back and forth within minutes, pretty sad.
Its good to keep up on whats going on with the trucks. This was my first Ford Truck so its been helpful and now since the mod market cant keep up with the amount of times I check this site, I am mostly here to talk/help/harass other owners and keep ahead of the curve on my truck.

Yeah, I got tired of hanging out on the, oh- how should I say it? Well, you know- the 18 & up sites.

Came over here originally to see pics of other peoples F-150's & Expeditions- then ended up with an opinion as well.

Yeah, love the minute to minute posts. Like a friggen' chat room some times.

**** never gets old. However, hard drive space fills up quickly.

I also enjoy making an impact on others lives. For example, two people have famous 'D' quotes in thier sig. Some day old timers will be tellin' the newbs... "Back in the day, this one jackarse who called himself 'dzervit' was banned for... " I'm practically famous!

I got here the same way as dzervit, albeit a bit earlier, but you wouldn't know it from our respective post numbers. I guess I just don't have as much wisdom to share with you all, just opinions and sarcastic comments, and lots of each. I found this site looking for opinions about rhino vs line-x. I still visit the other site but my frequency is dropping off and I've earned a one week vacation or two from there for stuff that is run of the mill here. I like it here, even if dzervit did follow me.

Yes, I am an F-150 online adict too, that and crack cocaine.

Fatty - evertime I visit the 'other' site I end up getting miffed at the lame posts and flaming someone. I was away for months, but had to post yesterday about some whinning chick and her cheatin' man. Too funny.

You really should lay off the F150 online habit, you don't want to take away too much time from the coke.

yeah they are good people there but once they banned all political and controversial conversation you pretty much get left with "what brand of toothpaste do you use". I also know what you mean about negleting my other habit. I was trying to post something the other night and I got so distracted that my crack pipe set some greasy rags on fire and burned my shack down.
