D'oh! Gonna have to chat with some Ford folks next week... pretty interesting article! At least they caught it now. I'm pretty impressed with Ford's ability to catch this stuff early (so far).

Anybody know if they make their own heads or are they from a JIT supplier?!

Any thoughts on whether this would have been a defect in the '04 model run too and just not caught? Would they have re-tooled the assembly line despite there being no changes?

I was told here once before not to put too much stock into what blue oval news says, and I have seen it play true once or twice. I am not saying that Ford is not stopping the '05's, but take it with a grain of salt...hell, they say so themselves in their opening statement, "At this time, we are only ALLEGING (bold and italic's) that the GT "40" heads are defective."

Hey i work at ford will have to do some inside research on this.but ford has been holding some recalls back on the 03 and 04 models. Guy i work with took his 03 350 duelly in and they did a water pump he asked why then they told him there was a recall from a back date. He has 26,000 on his.I STILL LOVE MY TRUCK THEY CAN FIX IT SO THATS ALL THAT MATTERS FORD RULES .

The more I hear about stuff like that the less I trust BueOvalNews. From now on I will just pretend they dont exist.
