Exactly.

I've always wondered how the South Koreans feel when they see a bunch of our celebrity do-gooders calling for banning land mines.

Land mines are defensive weapons. Very valuable ones, too. I'll bet we also have a pretty nice collection of artillery and rockets aimed at any corridors the North Koreans are likely to use.

Don't stories pop-up now and again about North Korean underground tunnels that are discovered?

Not that I don't think we should have some tunnels of our own...

For all I know, we could have used tunnel-boring machinery like used for the Chunnel. Heck, we may already have an underground 4-lane highway all the way up to Pyongyang
