Weather Nut!

Yep, Frances is big, but she's 'petite' compared to what Hurricane Floyd was a few years ago.
Fortunately, for the Floridians, Floyd turned and skipped the peninsula in its entirity.

Frances' eye is not easily seen anymore- that's a good thing; that means she's weakening. When you can see they eye clearly (Like you could in Dzervit's picture), your **** is in a sling if you're in the way.
Frances:

Hurricane Floyd:(Notice the easy-to-see eye and eyewall; this was a beast)

The bad news is, even though Frances is weakening, the reports are she's still twice the size that Andrew (1991) was; and what she now lacks in wind, she'll make up for in rain and in slow movement- Florida, still soaked from Bonnie & Charley may have big-time flood issues in the days to come.

Hoping for the best you guys!

Hurricane Frances screwed me. My power isn’t going to be restored until the 18th, maybe.

Hey jpd, I was wondering why you've been MIA.

That's a long time without power. Where are you holed up in the meantime?

I’m laid up at home using a generator. Don’t have A/C but I got a couple of fans going and TV. Been watching football all day. I got my phone service and DSL back yesterday; just hooked the computer up today.
